RESOLUTION APPROVING NEGATIVE DECLARATION
ON ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHEETS
FOR SOUTHFORK VILLAGE APARTMENTS
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville
that the attached negative declaration on the environmental assessment
worksheets for the proposed development of SouthFork Village apartments,
located approximately 1/2 mile southeast of the intersection of I-35 and
• State Trunk Highway 50 on the south side of Highway 50 is approved.

iN RE: Environmental Assessment Worksheet - SouthFork Village
On March 3, 1986 the Lakeville City Council,:acting as .the
responsible governmental unit., ordered the preparation of an Environ-
mental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for SouthFork Village. Following
.preparation of the EAW it was distributed to the .agencies andorgani-
zations required by Minnesota Rubes §4410.1500. Thee EAW availability
notice was published in_the EQB Monitor on March 24,.1986. A public
review was conducted by .the Planning Commission on April 3, 1986.
The: thirty (30) day period for review. and comment ended on April
23, 1986.
The Lakeville City Council; acting as thee`responsible govern-
mental unit, after considering he comments received now makes the
following Findings.-of Fact and Decision:
FINDINGS OF FACT
1. The EAW is complete.
2. The only. negative environmental impacts that will be
caused by the project ..are. those normally associated with any construction
• project.
3. Erosion and runoff caused by the project will be controlled
by standard erosion control practices such. as silt. fences and hay
bale dykes.
4. The Empire Treatment plant has adequate. capacity totreat
the effluent that. will be generated by the project.:
5. An Environmental Impact Statement is notneeded to further
investigate possible environmental impacts.
DECISION
The Lakeville City Council, the responsiblegovernmental
unit, hereby. issues a Negative Declaration. An Environmental Impact
Statement is not needed.
Adopted by the Lakeville. City Council this 5th day. of May,
1986.
