HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-116 ~ • ~ ~ CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date iVovember 18, 1985 Resolution No. 85-116 Motion by Nelson .Seconded by Sindt RESOLUTION SETTING WATER AND SEWER RATES NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, that the following is hereby approved and adopted, effective with all accounts billed after February 1, 1986, until changed by City Council. L. Sewer Rates A. Residential 1. Shall be based on actual water consumption, or the water consumed during the first quarter of they year, whichever is less. 2. When an account is newly established, the sewer maximum charge shall be set at 25,000 gallons of sewer use. This average is to be established after the first quarter of the year. Sewer charge for the remainder of the year will be at this figure, or actual usage, whichever is less. 3. Minimum bill is $21.10 for up to 10,000 gallons. 4. Shall be $1.77 per thousand gallons of usage above the first 10,000 gallons. 5. A flat rate of $47.65 per quarter shall. be charged to those residential customers which do not have metered water. B. Industrial, Institutional and Commercial 1. Shall be based on actual gallons of water consumed. 2. Minimum bill is $21.10 for the first 10,000 gallons of each quarter. 3. Shall be $1.77 per thousand gallons of usage, above the first 10,000 gallons consumed each quarter. a C. Multiple dwellings served by a single meter shall be charged for the • number of units each quarter at the time the meter is read. The sewer charge for each quarter shall be determined by dividing the total gallons of water used by number of units. 1. Minimum bill shall be $21.10 per unit for the first 10,000 gallons used by each unit. 2. Consumption above the minimum shall be charged $1.77 per thousand gallons consumed. D. Mobile Home Trailer Courts 1. Shall be based on actual water consumption, or the water consumed during the first quarter of the year, whichever is less. 2. Minimum bill is $21.10 for the first 10,000 gallons each quarter for each mobile home unit. 3. Shall be $1.77 per thousand gallons of usage above the minimum gallons consumed each quarter. E. When a separate water system is installed and is limited to uses that cannot enter the sewer system, no charge shall be made for sewer on the water metered for said system. II. Water Rates A. Based on actual metered gallons consumed each quarter. B. Minimum bill is $9.35 for the first 10,000 gallons each quarter. C. Shall be $.77 per thousand gallons above 10,000 gallons consumed each quarter. D. Residents serviced by Burnsville Utility System a. Water rates shall be based on actual metered gallons consumed each quarter. b. A minimum bill shall be $10.10 for the first 10,000 gallons each quarter. c. All gallons billed in excess of 10,000 gallons consumed shall be charged at $.95 per thousand gallons. III. Head of households over 65 years. of age or living on social security or pension income alone are entitled to a 30% utility rate discount. IV. A penalty of 1.5% of the unpaid balance in excess of $10.00 be charged every 30 days after the quarterly billing date. In no event will the penalty be less than $1.00. 2 APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, this 18th day of November , 1985.
