HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-056 r ~ R r CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date June 6, 1983 Resolution No. 83-56 Motion by Harvey Seconded by Nelson RESOLUTION SETTING POLICY ON LAKE MARION HIGH WATER LEVEL WHEREAS, Lake Marion has a well documented history of rather rapid changes in water levels; and WHEREAS, these changes are considered completely natural for this lake; and WHEREAS, some residential property is affected when the lake reaches higher levels. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville, in a cooperative effort with affected citizens, shall furnish sandbags and sand without charge to home owners having residences actively threatened by flooding from Lake Marion. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville does not feel it practical or appropriate to attempt to build an outlet to control Lake Marion at this time.
