HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-029 CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date March 3, 1980 Resolution No. 80-29 Motion by Nelson ` Seconded by Spande RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO MAKE REVISIONS TO THE INTERSECTION OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 50, COUNTY ROAD 64 AND HOLYOKE AVENUE IN LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA. 6VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota believes that the intersection of Trunk Highway 50, County .Road 64, Holyoke Avenue needs revision and improvement for the safety and conveyance of the public and automobile traffic; and WHEREAS, the roads involved at this intersection are under- the jurisdiction of the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Dakota County Highway Department and City of Lakeville; and WHEREAS, the: City Council believes that the need for safety improvements at this intersection is urgent; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to cooperate with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Dakota County Highway Department to achieve the intersection revisions and improvements.. as soon as possible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: 1. The City Council will approve a cooperative agreement with the Minnesota Department: of °Transportation that provides for the.. City Consulting 'Engineer to design the intersection improvement at no cost to the P!tinnesota Department of Transportation. 2, The City Council caill acquire.. any. additional right- . of-way for the Trunk Highway 50 revision and improvement at no Cost to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. 3. The City Council requests the Minnesota Department of .Transportation"s cooperation and, agreement in completing the proposed intersection revisions in-1981 if possible. 4. The City Council will approve a cooperative agreement .with Dakota County for the sharing of project costs to the City (450) and the County (55%) for the revisions under their jurisdiction. ~1_ APPROVED AND`ADOPTED this 3rd day of March, 1980.
