HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-079 ~I CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION Date August 4, 1980 Resolution No. ' 80-79 Motion by Spande Seconded by Sindt A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ISSUE'BONDS~~,FOR THE .PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTION OF A CITY HALL - POLICE'STATION BUILDING AND PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A CIVIL DEFENSE WARNING SYSTEM AND PROVIDING FOR AN ELECTION THEREON BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby determined to issue general obligation bonds for the purposes of providing money for the construction of a City Hall - Police Station and the purchase and installation. of a Civil Defense Warning Sys-tem. 2. The amount. proposed to be borrowed Ifor the City Hall - Police Station shall not exceed $1,500,000 and the amount 'proposed to be borrowed for the Civil Defense Siren Warning System shall not exceed $90,000. 3. The proposal to issue such bonds shah be submitted to the voters of the City its conjunctian with the statewid!,e primary election to be held September 9, 1980. Polling places shall be'asl follows: Precinct No. 1 Fire StationlNo. 1, 8830-207th St: W., Lakeville, Minnesota Precinct No. 2 Orchard Lake~Scho+ol, 16540 Klamath Trail, Lakeville, Minnesota recinct No. 3A Parkview Elementary School,`Ci795 Gerdine Path West, Lakeville, Minnesota Precinct No. 3B Fire Station'No. 2, 16720 Dodd Boulevard, Lakeville, Minnesota Poll judges shall be the same as at the primary' election. The polls shall be opened at 7 o'clock a.m. 2nd shall close at 8 o'cldck p.m. 4. The City Administrator shall give notice of the election as required by law by. two weeks' published notice in the official newspaper and posting in three public places in the City at least ten (10) days prior to the election. 5.
