Item 2 Jensen made a motion seconded. by Taft to accept the minutes of the Dec. 16, 1968 meeting as read. All 3 for. Motion carried. Item 3 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the Dec, 23, 1968 meeting as read. All for. Motion carr-led. Item 4 Taft made a motion seconded by Sullivan to accept the minutes of the Dec. 30, 1968 meeting as read. All 3 for. Motion carried.. Item 5 Mayor Aronson reported that he had not been able to get together with Mr. Hohag regarding the site for the Valley Park water. reservoir. Ltem 6 It was reported that two trees on Mr. Kenneth Hullett's yard had been knocked down by the snow plow. The Village attorney advised hhe should file a notice of claim with the Village within 30 days. Item 7 The following committees were set up. Liquor Store- Taft and Aronson Streets and Roads- Aronson and Sullivan Park and Playgrounds- Taft and Sullivan Police and Fire- Jensen and, Aronson Utilities- Mako and Jensen Health Officer- Dr. McOaniels Health and Sanitation- Mako and Jensen Local Depository- The First National Bank Official Newspaper-The Dakota County Tribune Weed- Aronson, Sullivan and the appointed weed inspector, Waiter King, Jr. Taft made a motion seconded by Sullivan to accept these committees. All 4 for. Motion carried. starting at 8:30 P.m. Item 8 Mako made a motion to have the regular meetings// on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Mondays of every month and .that snagenda for the regular meetings be established by moon of the previous Thursday. and this agenda be published on the Village Hail bulletin board and copies be sent to each council member and the legal advisor. Jensen seconded. the motion. A11 4 for. Motion carried. Item 9 Jensen moved that Grannis & Grannis be appointed as the Village councel and Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Assoc. be appointed the Village engineers. Taft seconded the motion. A11 4 for. Motion carried. Item 10 Clint Cross' J.P report was reviewed by the council. Item 11 A letter from the Agricultural Insurance Co. regarding recommendations for safety in the Sewer Dept. and Garage was read to the council, Mako made a motion to empower Stan Stevens to purchase .the necessary equipment and Ray Henry be empowered to purchase necessary equipment. to comply with this letter. Jensen seconded the motion. All 4 for. Motion carried. Item 12 Schoenberger appeared to request the council to plow-his street but this was refused due to the fact that the road has not been accepted by the Viiiage. He also explained that he and two other. men v~ere `chinking of buymng some land out by Orchard Lake and wanted to know if they could. cut down`a hii and level .out the lot, Jensen made a motion seconded by Sullivan that Mr. Ackerman go out and look at the lots and make • ~ i PAGE 2 Jan. 6, 1969 a recommendation regarding this matter. All 4 for. Motion carried. Item 13 Gordon Seaudette appeared to request rezoning of land. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Mako to rezone the following described land/Industrial: commercial The South 633.b feet of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter (SE4 of SW4) of section. thirty six (36) Township I14, Range 21 (21) except the East 550 feet thereof subject to road right-of-way. All 4 for. Motion carried. Item 14 Arnol d Kruse appeared to request/o~z~iri~e ntgol l owl ng described property: The south i50 feet of the North 440 feet of the east 100 feet of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter (NE4 of NE4) of section thirty-five (35), Township one hundred fourteen. (114, Range twenty-one (21). .Sullivan made a motion seconded by Jensen to grant the rezoning to commercial industrial subject to written consent from the owners. _ be filed with the clerk. All 4 for. Motion carried. Item 15 Mako made a motion that the procedure for granting trailor permits will be upon approval of the Planning Commission. Ali permits will be referrd`to the council for approaval with further appearance of the applicant not required. Jensen seconded the motion. A11 4 for.,` Motion carried. Item 16 The hearing for Jorgensen & Harris for approval of the hardshell of the `Nil]-Dee Addition was opened at 9:]~ P.M. Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako that the Mayor, Clerk, Elanning Commission Chairman and Panning Commission secretary be authorized to sign the hardshell subject to signing of the development contract by Wed. the 8th of January, 1969 of this week. ` All-4 for. Motion carried. Item 17 The hearing. for temporary .rezoning of the Charles Wren farm was opened. Roger Austin from Schweich's Addition presented a petition signed h~c:._ _ 10 persons from that addition. Charles Wren asked that this matter be tabled until spring as there were some things covered up by the snow on some adjoinging property that he would like to have the council. see. V.>-~ Ne said_he would be willing not to move any more equipment on his property until this matter is settled. Sullivan moved to table this matter until. the lst of June. Jensen 'seconded the motion. For were Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Aronson. Against was Mako. Item 18 Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to accept the petition of the residents of Sch~eich's First Addition and put it in the records. Jensen seconded the Motion. Following is the petition: We, the undersigned, being the residents of Schweich's First Addition, wish to petition the Lakeville Council to act in our favor for the fo77ow~ng request: That Wren Incorporated be prevented from using the farm land neighboring. Schweich first Addition far the storage of equipment which is used in their commercial business. Also that the same farm land not be used for storage of houses or any. other structure being purchased or moved by Wren Inc. We would also suggest that the Council allow Wren Inc. one year from the date of this meeting to remove all commercial equipment and said structures which are now being stored on the above mentioned land. All 4 for. Motion carried. Item 19 Jensen made a resolution accepting the street names as presented and if public hearing is required the notice will,be placed in the paper this week. The letter re: Southwest Sanitary Sewer was turned over to the Utilities Comm. Item 21 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to renew the on-sale beer ' license of the Lakeville, Bowl.. All 4 for. Motion carried. Item 22 Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to renew the special club liquor license and the on-sale beer license of Minnreg Ciub. All 4 for. Motion carried. gravel Item 23 Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako to grant renewal/permits. to Karsko Bros. Excavating Co.,Inc., Oscar Ramberg, and Dow Aggregates. Al] 4 for. .Motion carried. Item 24 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to authorize the hiring of Arnold Silverness part tine on the snow plow. All 4 for. Motion carried.
