Item T The meeting was called to order by Mayor Aronson with Jensen,
Taft and Mako present.
Item 2 The bids for the road grader were closed at 8:30 P.M. ONe bid was
received from Zeig]er Inc.
Base bid was $33,827.
Trade in 6,100
Net bid 27,727
Taft moved to table the bid for further discussion. Jensen seconded
the. motion. All 3 for. Motion carried.
Item 3 Mako made a motion seconded by Jensen to accept the Village bills.
All 3 far. Motion carried.
Item 4 Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to accept the liquor bills.
All 3 for. Motion carried.
Item 5 The hearing for the Valley Park 2nd Addition final. plat wasopened
at 9:00 P.M. Certified registration receipts for letters to the area
residents were handed to the clerk. Mako made a motion seconded
by Taft to accept this plat subject to signing of a development contract
@2. receipt of a title opinion from LAD Holding Co. attorney,.
3. payment of platting fee and authorizing the mayor and clerk to sign
the plat. All 3 for. Motion carried.
Item 6 The traitor permit hearings were opened.
(a). Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako to grant Gladys Engstrom
a traitor permit and a variance be granted to park the traitor.
All 3 for. Motion carried.
(b) Taft made a motion seconded by t~ako to grant a permit to park
a traitor to Mrs. Nellie Keller. All 3 for. Motion carried.
(c) Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to grant a platted area
variance and to grant a traitor permit to Archie Jenkins. All
3 for. Motion carried.
(d) Taft moved that a traitor permit be approved for James .Sayers for
one year at $37.50. Mako seconded the motion. All 3 for a
Motion carried.
(e) There was some discussion regarding the next permit. It was
opposed to by John Clark and Mrs Robert Boshart as they felt
a traitor park situation could develop here.
Jensen moved that a permit be granted with a signature variance
granted to William Rohr. If his home is not completed in two
years, there will be no more permits granted. Taft seconded the
motion. All 3 for. Motion carried.
(f) Mako made a motion seconded by Taft that apermit be granted
to Len Nelson on the recommendation of the Planning Commission
that the traitor be moved out by July 1 1969 and the permit be
for a six month period. Also to grant a variance in regard
to the 3/4 permission of property owners. Atl 3 for.- Motion
carried.
(g) Taft moved to grant a platted area variance and to grant a 1
year permit to Charles A. Fright. Jensen seconded the motion
Taft AND J~r~eon voted. for the motion. Mako opposed. Aronson
voted. aye. .Motion carried. If the traitor is sold, half the
fee sha]l be returned.
(h) Mako made a motion seconded by Taft to follow the P.C. recommendation
and grant a 1 year permit to Leon Cheney and a variance for a
platted area with the fee being $17.50.. All 3 for. Motion
carried.
(i) Taft moved to grant a variance for platted area and grant a permit
to LeRoy Fowler. Mako seconded the motion. All 3 for..

(10) Mrs. C. Frederick questioned the legality of the charge
for parking trailor homes.
Taft made a mt~tion seconded by Jensen to grant Mrs. Frederick
a 1 year permit, .All 3 for. Motion carried.
Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft that her trailor fee
must be paid by Feb. 1,.1969, or legal action will be started.
All 3 for. Motion carried.
Jensen made a motion,seconded by Mako that all trailor homes
that have no objections from the Planning Commission, have
permits. granted by council. All 3 for. Motion carried.
Item 7 Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to hire William Aiich on the
Village maintenance department. Ail 3 for. Motion carried. Starting
salary will be $525 pew month and at the moment he will help out
with snow removal. After that he will learn maintenance of the
sewer and water dept.
Item 8 Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako to approve the plans and
specification for the Valley Park reservoir and deep well and
to authorize Bob Rosene to let out the bids for the reservoir which.
will be closed Feb. 24, 1969 at 3:30 P.M. and to let out bids for
the deep well which will be closed Feb. 17,1969 at 8:30 P.M. A11
3 for. Motion carried.
Item 9 Jensen made a motion to have the county highway department install
stop signs at:
162nd St. W. and Cedar
164th St. W. and Cedar
167th St. W. and Cedar
167th Court and Cedar
190th St. W. and Cedar
Taft seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Item 10 It was decided that Mayor Aronson would try to contact Mr. Hohag
for .five consecutive days to see if something could be done about
buying his land. After this time the Mayor would advise the clerk
if she should write Mr. Hohag a letter advising him that we would
have no alternative but to start condemnation proceedings.
Item 11 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to pay Mr. Stoneberg $1.50
per hour for cleaning the skating rink. Ail 3 for. Motion carried.
Item 12 The Planning Commission and Council have set an informal meeting
with no date deeded on t'~at this time.
Item 13 Mako made a motion seconded by Jensen to accept the P.C.recommendation
and hire_the high school girl for typing of P.C. minutes at $1.65
per hour. .The work would be authorized for six hours per meeting.
The motion was withdrawn.
Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to pay the girl $1.50 per
hour and authorising this work for six hours per meeting.. Jensen
and Taft voted for the motion. Mako opposed. The Mayor abstained.
The motion carried.
Item 14 Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to grant the lakevilie
Sanitary Co. a garbage hauling permit. All 3 for. Motion carried.

Item 15 Taft made a motion seconded by Mako to grant Dakota Re~tuarants
an on-sale beer license. All 3 for. Motion carrred.
