COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 1969
Item l The meeting was called to order with Taft, Sullivan, Jensen and
Mako present.
Item 2 The clerk was instructed to send Mr. Hohag a letter suggesting
a @price of $2,000. for oneacre and a 20 foot easement.
Item 3 The minutes of the January 20, 1969 meeting were read. Jensen
made a motion seconded by Mako to accept the minutes as read.
All 4 for. h9otion carried.
Item 4 Jensen made a motion seconded by Sullivan to accept the minutes of
the January 28, 1969 meeting as read. All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 5 Mako made a motion seconded by Sullivan to accept the minutes of
the January 30,1969 meeting as read. All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 6 The hearing for the traitor permits was opened.
A. A motion was made by Mako seconded by Sullivan to grant
Otis Bell a permit for one year. All 4 for. Motion carried.
B. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to grant Jchn Pa4'l~'~~
a permit. All 4 for. Motion carried.
C. Taft moved to follow the Planning Commission recommendation
and grant John Raplinger a permit for one year. Jensen
seconded the motion. All 4 for a Motion carried.
D. Taft made a motion to grant the First National Bank a permit
for six months and then it must be moved out. Mako seconded
the motion. All 4 for. h~otion carried.
E. Taft made a motion seconded by Sullivan to grant Fred Chase
a variance and grant a permit for parking a traitor. Ail 4 for.
Motion carried.
F. Mako made a motion seconded by Taft to grant Martin Wester
a permit for six months after which the situation would be
_~-.:;'!reconsidered taking into account the general appearance of the
property as well as the junk cars on the property, All 4
for.. Motion carried.
G. Fait Grohaski refused to appear for a hearing or to pay for
a permit. The clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Farrell
and advise him to notify Mr. Grohaski that ~f he did not
pay, he would be prosecuted.
H. Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to grant a variance
and to grant a permit-to Karl Foote for a two year period.
All 4 for. Motion carried.
I. Mako made a motion seconded by Taft to grant a permit for
one year to Dave Asher. All 4 for a Motion carried.
Item 7 February 25, 1969 was set as the meeting night for the Planning
Commission and the Council to meet informally.
Item 8 Don Fanum read the Water and Sewer Commission minutes for their
January 16, 1969 meeting.
Item 9 Jensen made a motion to have the Utilities Commission investigate
the situation at the liquor store to see if a water meter is
necessary. They are to report back in 30 days with the approximate.
cost of what is needed. Taft seconded the motion. All 4 for.
Motion carried.
Item 10 Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to appoint Mr. John Hrkal
to the Water and Sewer Commission for a period of three years.
A1] 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 11 Taft made a motion seconded by Sullivan to appoint Mr. Mako to the

Utilities Committee for another three year period. All 4 for.
Motion carried.
Item T2 Jensen made a motion secondedby Mako to release the easement of
a strip of land 330 feet wide south of the sewer plant along
Hamburg Ave. to road subject to Village engineer and authorizing
the mayor and clerk to sign. All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 13 Clint Cross' report was reviewed by the council.
Item 14 The building inspector presented his report to the council.
Item 15 Mako made a motion to instruct the Planning Commission with the
aid of the building inspector to draw up qualifications and
a job description for building inspector applications and plut~bing
inspector applications. These are to be delivered to the council
within 60 days for consideration. Jensen seconded the motion.
All 4 for. Motion carried.
Ltem 16 Jensen. made a motion seconded by Taft to reinstate the building
inspector for another 90 days. All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 17 A wage meeting was set for 8:P1~1. Wed. the 5th of February.
Item 18 Jensen moved to adopt the Resolution accepting storm sewer
in College Park. 2nd Addition. Taft seconded the motion. All 4 for.
Motion carried.
Item 19 A letter from Mrs. Donnelly aras read.
Item 20 .Taft Made a motion seconded by Sullivan to instruct the clerk
to write the Dakota County Abstract Co. that to the council's
knowledge there are no pending assessments against property
described as
Lot 17 except the South 45 feet and all of Lot 18
Block 2, .Glenn Addition.
All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 21Sullivan made a motion to adjourn seconded by Taft. A11 4 for.
Meeting adjourned.
