COt1NCIL--MEETING APRIL 21, 1969
Item 1 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Aronson with Mako,
Jensen, Sullivan and Taft present.
Item 2 Sullivan made a motion seconded by Jensen to pay the Liquor Bills.
All 4 for. Moi:ion carried.
Item 3 Sullivan made a motion seconded by Mako to pay the Village bills.
All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 4 Mr. Grubisch from ArLake appeared before the council to ask
if it would be possible to put lights on Hamburg Ave. NSP
was going to be contacted to send a representative to the May 5th
meeting at 9:30 P.M.
Item 5 Glen Berens appeared before the council to ask why his
remodeling permit was being held up. After the situation was
explained to the council by the building inspector, he was advised
to wait for the fire marshali's recommendation.
Item 6-~ The minutes for the April 14, 1969 meeting were summarized.
Jensen made a motion seconded Mako to accepi; the minutes as
summarized. All 4 for. Motion carried.
Item 7 The clerk was instructed to have an item placed in the village
paper that each resident was responsible to put up his own house
numbers and to advise them that the numbers should be regulation
size of 4' and reflectorized.
Item 8 Jensen made a resolution authorizing the release of the attached.
list of numbered Valley Park bonds upon approval of the Village
attorney and Village engineer and the posting of maintenance
bonds where required. Sullivan seconded the resolution. All 4 for.
Motion carried.
Item 9 Mr. Kaiina appeared regarding the Lakeville Parking, Inc. Parking
lot. He said that owners were agreeable to putting up a fence.
They would not like to have to change the grade of the alley
however. Art Heinz the home owner affected by the drainage
still requested that the grade be changed as the water collected
in the street in front of his home.
The Village/was going to be contacted to check this out again.

Item 10 Victor Ecklund who had bought a piece of property from Frank
Weisner, enquired into the status of the road which might
be put in that would go past his lot. He enformed the council...
that his ne'ghbor had given him a permanent easement and that a
road was /~~essary at this time and more than likely would not
be feasable as the the hill was so steep by his lot. He also
asked if .the coucil would grant him a building permit in"this
type of a situation. This area has not yet been platted which
was in violation of the subdivision ordinance. Mr. Farrell
suggested that a letter be sent to the county register of deeds in-
forming him of this fact. Mr. Farrell will study the situation
further and write a recommendation regarding .this matter.
Item 11 Sullivan made a motion seconded by Mako that to the councils
knowledge there are no pending assessments against property
described as:
Lot 10, Block 3, Donnays College Park
All for. Motion carried.

Item 13 Sullivan made a motion .seconded by Mako to approve the off-sale
and on-sale beer license for New Antlers Park, Inc. All for.

Item 14 Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako that to the council's
knowledge there are no pending assessments against property
described as•
•Lot 27 & the West 29 feet of Lot 28, Block
12, Antlers Park Addn, Section 19, Township 114W, Range 21 West.
All for. Motion carried:
Item 15 Two letters from the Valley Park Community Club were read.
to the council. One was a request for lights installed at
the four entrances into Valley Park from Cedar Avenue.
The second;:;was a request for stop signs on all streets in
Valley Park leading onto collector streets.
Mr. Farrell will check with Mr. Burger regarding the street lights.
Various other letters were reviewed by the council,
Item 16 A meeting was set up next Tuesday evening with the Planning
Commission.
Item 17 Sullivan made a motion seconded by Jensen to adjourn. The meeting
was adjourned.
