Y. COUNCIL MEETING MAY 19, T969 Item 1 The meeting was called to order at 7:55 P.M. by Mayor Aronson with Jensen and Taft present. Item 2 Felix Tillges appeared before the council with a petition to vacate all of East Ave. lying North of its intersection with Spruce according to the plat of the Village of Lakeville. This was signed: by all the residents abutting this street. Pat Farrell later advised that this would have to have a two week published notice by Mr. Tillges. Item 3 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to pay the Liquor bills. All in favor, motion carried. Item 4 Taftmade a motion sec©nded by Jensen to pay. the Village bills with the exception of number 3649. This will be heldwup for. an itemized statement from the county engineer. All in favor,. motion carried... .Item 5 Otis Bell appeared in regard to putting in a trailer park on his place. Ne would have a partner and this park would be for older people only. Ne was advised to contact the planning commission. Item 6 Al Patenaude asked if the village would put in a road so that he could sell 40 acres°of his land. It was explained that the village does not pay to put in roads, only the benefi-tted property owners ..Item 7 Jensen made a motion econded by .Taft to accept the minutes of the May l2, 1969 meeting as summarized. All in favor, motion carried. ..Item 8 Jensen moved to adopt the following resolution: Be it resolved that regular officers of the Village of Lakeville Police Dept. be paid at their regular rate of salary when working extra shifts than would normally be worked by another officer or a part time officer. Separate time sheets shall be submitted to the village clerk; such time sheet shall be signed by the Lakeville Village Police Chief. Taft seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried. Item 9 a couple of contractors are going to be contacted to see what it would cost to slope the Orchard Lake beach. There is a ridge in one spot with a 5' drop.. After this is done,_there will be no more parking on .the beach side. of the road. Item 10 Mr. Farrell .advised that the county was consiJering institu ing permits for special events such as the Panorama of .Progress, etc. They may have a special ordinance ombined local and county bodies . Item 11 The minutes of the Park and Recreation Committee were read. Item 12 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to appoint Ed Pelach to the the Park & Recreation Committee. Albin favor, motion carried. Item 13 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to give. the E. H. Renner a l5 working day extension of time to complete.. the well. in ..Valley Park. All in favor, motion carried: Item 14 A letter from Wm. J. Ford, Farmington Vilpage manager,. re: pollution study, was read. All in favor, motion carried. Item 16 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft that to the council's knowledge as of May 19, 1969, there are no pending assessments against property described as: Lot 14,.Block 4, Orchard Gardens Country Club Addn. All in favor, motion carried. Item 17 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft t~~`t to the council's knowledge as of May 19, 1969, there are no pending assessments against property described as: Lot 6 and Lot 28, Block 1, Forest Hi11s. Ail in favor, motion carried. Item 18 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft that the permit of the Peoples Natural Gas Company, number 503-6489, be signed as corrected by the village engineer. All. in favor, motion carried. Item 19 It was decided to file the report of the Warehouse Commission in regards to required R.R. signs in Airlake until they are needed. Item 20 Taft moved to sign the. fire contracts with Apple Valley. Seconded by Jensen. All in favor, motion carried. Item 21 It was decided to let out the bids for the squad car by the 7th of .July. Item 22 A spedal meeting was. set for the 27th of May, 1969. Item 23 Jensen made a motion seconded by Taft to adjourn. Meeting was adjourned.
