HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-13-69 VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE COUN CIL MEETING OOTOBER 13, 1969 1. The meeting was called to order by Playor Aronson with .Jensen, Taft, Sullivan and Mako present. 2. Jensen made a motion. seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the 9~t~ 6, 1969, meeting as read.. .All 4'for,'maton carried. 3. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to accept Java Ct. starting at 165th St. and running north for 4/10 of a mile as a village road. All for,. motion carried.. 4. Jensen made a motion seconded by Sullivan to authorize the mayor and the clerk to sign the utilities contract with Eureka. Alt for, motion carried. 5. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Jensen that to the c ouncil's knowledge. as of Oct. 13, 1969, there are no pending assessments against property described as: The North 330 feet of the South 660 feet of the West 330 feet of the Southeast 4 of the Northeast 4, Section 18, T-114, R-20, together with easement for driveway over the South 330 feet of the West 330 feet of said Southeast 4 of the Northeast being 12 feet in width,. the East line of which. lies 158.6 feet. Eedt of the West line of said Southeast 4 of the Northeast - All 4 for, motion. carried. 6. Various pieces of correspondence were read to the council. 7. The Planning commission minutes were read. 8. Jeff Puryear of Valley Park inquired regarding speed limit signs in Valley Park. The Mayor informed Mr. Puryear that he would contact the street department. 9. Jorgenson & Harris of the Nill-Dee Addition requested a reduction in the amount they would have to have for bonds on their 2nd addition. Sullivan moved to set the bonds at 30 ) (thirty) thousand dollars. Jensen seconded the motion. Mako, Jensen and Sullivan for, Taft opposed. Motion carried. 10. JeASen made a motion seconded by Taft that the Hill-Dee 2nd addition plat be approved for signature. For Jensen, Taft and Sullivan. Against Mako. Motion carried. 11. Mr. Parranto and Dan Gustafson appeared with their plans for a Mobile Home.. Park east of Valley Park. The explained their overall .plans were to develop this park in three or four stages and that the minimum size of the tots would be 6000 square feet. with a total. of 700 mob ile homes in the park. The also explained tax data information which would cover the next. ten years. .Supt. Boeckman of the Farmington School Dist~hict passed out information to show the difference in taxes on real property and mobile homes. He did not feel that the mobile homes would bring in enough taxes to cover the .cost of educating the children in the park. Mr. Shirley and Dean Empey from Farmington were also present. Bernard Murphey of the Planning Commission, remarked that he could not see where this mould be beneficial for the community. Mr. Parranto explained that there would be a lease agreement with each mobile home owner and that this park is one way of giving people an economic situation they: can afford.- ° ~ • /r PAGE TWO COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 13, 1969 He also explained that this park would be on a sewer line and they could use thewater from Valley Park or dig their. ownweil. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft/to approve the request for rezoning. by Eagan Development Co. at S~ of NE ~ and N_2 of SE 4 of Sec. ll, R-20, T-114, .Dakota County, and.. approve the concept as presented, subject to conditions of the permit for Mobile Home. Community to be finalized before approval of the preliminary plat. Voting for, Mako, Taft, Sullivan and Jensen. Motion carried.- 12. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to adjourn.
