1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Aronson with Taft, Sullivan, Mako
and Jensen present. Also present Bob Frigaard, Village Engineer
2. Mako made a motion seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the Dec. 8,1969,
meeting as read. All 4 for, motion carried.
3. Mako made a motion seconded by Sullivan not to pay check nr. 4411 to M.G.
Astleford. All 4 for, motion carried.
4. Taft made a motion seconded by Jensen to hold check nr. 4576 for further
investigation. All 4 for, motion carried.
5. Jensen moved to pay the balance of the bills. Seconded by Mako, motion carried.
6. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Jensen to pay the liquor store bills..
All 4 for, motion carried.
7. Mr. Jorgensen of Hill-Dee Addition appeared to request the Village to plow
.his street.in Hill-Dee. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Jensen to
plow 1'Iill-Dee 1st Addn at the hourly rate of $15. All 4 for, motion carried.
8. Mr. Biederman of Natural Pipeline appeared in Regards to a rezoning.
Sullivan moved to grant the rezoning to Commercial-Industrial to Natural
Pipeline and to grant the building permit. Taft seconded the motion. All
4 for, motion carried.
9. Mr. Jones ,.Chairman of the Park and Recreation Commission presented a list
of supervision for the new hockey rink.
Jensen made a motion seconded by Sullivan that the xink be completted and
flooded. Tle list of supervisors is to be accepted. All 4 for, motion carried.
10. Mako made a.motion seconded by Taft to burn the 1968 ballots. All for, motion carriei
11. Mr. Lyden appeared to request. that the Village continue to plow Jersey Way in
Forest Hills. Jensen moved to plow Jersey Way at the rate of $15 per. hour.
Sullivan seconded the motion. All 4 for,. motion carried.
12. Mrs.. Foulkrod appeared to request that a small portion of road into ,her.
property be plowed.
Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to plow this portion off the service
lane into Acorn Heights at the rate of $15 per hour and the bill be sent in
the spring... All 4 for, motion carried.
13. Mr. Frigaard presented the specs for the 2nd ptlase of water and sewer
utilities. in Valley Park 3rd Addition.
.Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako that the specs be approved for phase 2
of water and sewer utilities in Valley Park 3rd Addition. All 4 for,
motion carried.
14. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to instruct the clerk to write to
Bloomington Realty that to the council's knowledge as Dec.. 15, 1969, there
are no pending assessments against property described as:
.Lot 7, Block 3, Clays Acres-Jerome Clay--20898 Italy Ave.
All 4 for,. motion carried.
15. Taft made a motion seconded by Sullivan to grant a garbage renewal permit
to Lakeville Sanitary Co. All 4 for, motion carried.,
16. Taft Made a motion seconded by Jensen to grant an on sale beer license to the

the Chart House owned by Dakota Restauran ts. All 4 for, motion carried.
17. Sullivan made a motion seconded by Taft to grant John Talley an off
sale and on sale beer license. A11 4 for, motion carried.
18. A motion by Taft seconded by Mako to grant the Orchard Lake Tavern
an off sale beer license and an on sale beer license. All 4 for,
motion carried.
19. A letter from the Lakeville Times re: legal newspaper was read.. and the
clerk was instructed to send a copy to Pat Farrell.
20 The clerk was instructed to find out when LAD took over the gravel
pit from Alexander Construction Co.
Other letters were read to the Council.
21. Walt .King, Jr's J.P. report was presented to the council.
22. Don Chmiel of NSP presented various letters that had been sent to
C~Ir. Farrell and Mayor Aronson re: NSP substation. He said that-
NSP attorney and Mr. Farrell had arrived at `the fee of $30. for a permit
to build a control house where their new substation would be. Mr. Chmiel
was advised that there would have to be .public hearing in regards
to this substation.
A motion by Jensen seconded by Sullivan to .grant this request for a permit
fee. of $30 for a control house only and to refer this matter back to
the Planning Commission. All 4 for, motion carried.
23. Jan Graff, Dakota County Tribune reporter, presented a rebuttal to the
letter from the Lakeville Times.
24. Sullivan moved to adjourn. Seconded by Taft. Meeting adjourned.
