HomeMy WebLinkAbout0324 ~ ,w ORDINANCE N0. 324 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 1 OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING CITY PARKS The Lakeville City Council ordains: Section 1. Title 7, Chapter 1, Section 2 of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read: 7-1-2: HOURS PARKS OPEN TO PUBLIC: It is unlawful for any person to be in any City park after ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. at night and before six o'clock (6:00) A.M., except under the following conditions: A. When camping in an area designated for such purposes; B. When participating in an activity for which a permit has been granted by the City. Section 2. Title 7, Chapter 1, Section 3 of the Lakeville City Code is amended by adding Subsection D to read: 7-1-3 D. A11 motor vehicles shall be parked in designated parking areas or other areas approved by the Park Department. Section 3. Title 7, Chapter 1 of the Lakeville City Code is amended by adding Section 5 to read as follows: 7-1-5: REGULATIONS OF CITY OWNED BEACHES: A. Artificial floatation devices must be United States Coast Guard approved and may only be used by individuals over the age of 14 or under the direct supervision of an accompanying adult. B. Ba11s, frisbees, beach toys, air mattresses, and inner tubes are not allowed in the water. C. Swimming is allowed only in designated areas during hours posted for swimming while a lifeguard is on duty. D. Boats, canoes, and paddleboats are not allowed in designated swimming areas. E. Boats launched from City of Lakeville property must meet Boating Industry of America standards and comply with United States Coast Guard and State of Minnesota regulations. F. Boats may not come within 100 feet of a designated swimming area. Section 3. Title 7, Chapter 1, Section 4 of the Lakeville City Code is amended by adding the following provision: 7-1-4-5: PARK RENTAL. Violation of City Ordinance by a member of a group using a City park shall result in immediate expulsion of the entire group. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and publication. Adopted by the Lakeville City Council this 6th day of July 1987.
