HomeMy WebLinkAbout0276 A +1 ORDINANCE N0. 276 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAKEVILLE ZONING ORDINANCE BY ADDING A SECTION REQUIRING CITY INSPECTION OF MOBILE HOMES AT THE TIME THEY ARE SOLD WITHIN A MOBILE HOME PARK AND A SECTION REQUIRING PERMITS. The City Council of the City of Lakeville does ordain: Section 1. The Lakeville Zoning Ordinance Section 34.5 is hereby amended by adding subparagraphs 6 and 7 to read as follows: 6). INSPECTIONS PRIOR TO SALE. a). Prior to the sale of a mobile home within a mobile home park, the owner of the mobile home must have the home inspected by the City Building Officials to determine compliance with the applicable Manufactured Home Building Code as defined in Minn. Stat. 327.31 Subd. 3. No person shall sell a mobile home unless the home complies with the manufactured home building code. b). Prior to the sale of a mobile home within a mobile home park, the operator of a mobile home park or the duly authorized attendant and/or caretaker must inform City Building Officials of the prospective sale and provide them with a completed copy of the Manufactured (Mobile) Home Safety Disclosure Form required by Minn. Stat. 327.07 Subd. 3A. 7). PERMITS. When a mobile home is moved onto a lot, the owner shall apply for and obtain a building permit for the (founda- tion) blocking to state code and a permit for connection to public sewer and water. The permit shall be obtained before the mobile home is occupied. Section 2. This Ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
