HomeMy WebLinkAbout0233 ORDINANCE NO. 233 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 1 OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING INTOXICATING LIQUOR The City Council of Lakeville, Minnesota ordains: Section 1. Title 3, Chapter 1, Section 2 of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read as follows: 3-1-2: DEFINITIONS: For the purposes of this Chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings given them herein: RESTAURANT: A business other than a hotel, under the control of a single proprietor or manager having a full service kitchen where, in consideration of payment, .meals are regularly served at tables to the general public, and which employs an adequate staff to provide the usual and suitable service to its guests, and part of the business of which is the serving of foods. Such establishment shall have facilities for seating not less than fifty (50) guests at one time. Section 2. The ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and publication. McGarvey, City Clerk (38CS) MARY ZIEGENHAGEN, being duly sworn, on oath says she is and during all times herein stated has been the publisher of the newspaper known as Countryside and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows: (1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 1200 square inches. (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once each week. (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted to news of local interest to the communi- ty which it purports to serve and does not wholly duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports to serve, and has entry as controlled circulation matter in its local post office. (5) Said newspaper purports to serve the Cities of Apple Valley and Lakeville in the County of Dakota and it has its known office of issue in Burnsville, established and open during its regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and maintained by the publisher or persons in her employ and subject to her direction and control during all such regular business hours and devoted exclusively dur- ing such hours to the business of the newspaper and business related thereto. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said newspaper is made available at single or subscription prices to any person, corporation, part- nership or other unincorporated association requesting the newspaper and making the ap- plicable payment. (8) Said newspaper has complied with all foregoing conditions for at least one year preceding the day or dates of publication mentioned below.
