HomeMy WebLinkAbout0080 •J ORDINANCE NO. 80 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE TO INCLUDE CERTAIN UNPLATTED LAND NOT EX- CEEDING 200 ACRES ABUTTING UPON THE CITY LIMITS. WHEREAS, a certain petition dated October 24, 1974, requesting annexation of the territory hereinafter described was duly presented to the Council on the 4th day of November, 1974; and WHEREAS, the quantity of land embraced within the area described in the petition and bounded as described is 6.6 acres of unplatted land, no part of which is included within the limits of an incorporated city, village, or borough; and WHEREAS, the petition was signed by the sole owner of said land, and WHEREAS, no objections to the annexation have been re- ceived from the Town Board, the County Board, or the governing body of any municipality whose boundaries abut upon the boundaries of the land to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the land described in the petition abuts upon the City limits at tha South boundary thereof:; The Council of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, ordains; Section 1. The City Council hereby determines (1) that the annexation will be to the best interests of the City and of the territory affected; (2) that the territory described herein abuts upon the City limits and is urban or suburban in character; and (3) that none of said territory is now included within the limits of any city, village, or borough. Section 2. Territory Axxnexed. The corporate limits of the City are hereby extended to include the platted land described as follows and the same is hereby annexed to and included within the City as effectually as if it had originally been a part thereof: That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 4, Township 113, Range 20, Dakota County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of Airlake Industrial Park 1st Addition, according to the recorded plat thereof, said Dakota County, Minnesota; thence North 89 degrees 22 minutes 50 seconds East, assumed bearing along the south line of said plat, a distance of 47.53 feet; thence South 26 degrees 50 minutes OS seconds West, a distance of 336.21 feet; thence South 63 degrees 09 minutes SS.::seconds East, a distance of 132.00 feet to the point of beginning of the land to be described; thence continuing on a bearing of Soutkx 63 degrees 09 mixxutes 55 seconds East, a distance of 161.66 feet; thence North 23 degrees 53 minutes 07 seconds East, a distance of 65.05 feet; thence North 89 degrees 42 minutes 40 secorxds East, a distance of 675.88 feet, more or less, to the east line of said Northwest Quarter; thence North 0 degrees Ol minutes 45 seconds East along said east line a distance of 378.27 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of said North- west Quarter; thence South 89 degrees 22 minutes 50 seconds West along the south line of said Airlake .Industrial Park 1st Addition, a distance of 663.77 feet, more or less, to the intersection with a line that bears North 26 degrees 50 minutes O5 seconds East from the point of beginning; thence South 26 degrees 50 minutes 05 seconds west a distance of 404.79 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Section 3. Filing. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file certified copies of this ordinance with the Minnesota Municipal Commission, the Secretary of State, and the County Auditor. Section 4. Effective Date.
