VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE
DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 32 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE
LICENSING AND REGULATING THE SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING
LIQUOR AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION."
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. THAT ORDINANCE NO. 32, SECTION 5, SUBDIVISIONS 5
AND 6, ARE .AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 5. CONDITIONS OF LICENSE.
SUBDIVISION 5. No intoxicating liquor shall be sold
or furnished or delivered to any intoxicated person, to
any habitual drunkard, to any person under 18 years of
age, or to any person to whom sale is prohibited by
State law.
SUBDIVISION 6. No person under 18 years of age shall
be employed in a zoom where 'bn sales" are made-and no
such person shall be allowed to be or remain in such
room unless accompanied by his parent or guardian.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
.This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication according to.,law~

THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE

Dudley F. Eakin, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all times
herein stated has been the publisher and printer of the newspaper known as THE
LAKEVILLE TIMES and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows:
(1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in newspaper format and
in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square
inches. (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once each
week. (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted to news of local
interest to the community which is purports to serve and does not wholly dupli-
cate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter
and advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the munici-
pality which it purports to serve, has at least 240 copies regulary delivered
to paying subscribers, has an average of at least 75% of its total circulation
zurrently paid or no more than three months in arrears and has entry as second
Mass - matter in its local post -office. (5) Said newspaper purports to serve
he Village of Lakeville in the County of Dakota and it has its known office
issure in the City of Lakeville in said county, established and open during
is regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and
ale of subscriptions and maintained by the publisher or persons in his employ
nd subject to his direction and control during all such regular business hours
nd at which said newspaper is printed. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of
tch issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said news -
per has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years
eceding the day or dates of publication mentioned below. (8) Said news -
per has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior to January 1,
66 and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by
Secretary of State and signed by publisher of said newspaper and sworn
Sefore a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper.
Said newspaper was on May 20, 1965 qualified as a medium of official
legal publication and has continually thereafter met the foregoing
ditions.
