AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF MOTOR SEHICLES AND THE LICENSING OF PERSONS OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN THE VTLLAGE OF I,AKEVZLLE AND IMPOSING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATIONS THEREOF. Be it ordained by the Village Council.of the Village of Lakeville:' SECTION I; t$otor Vehicles: Applicatipn. , Every motor vehicle used or operated on any highway within the Village of Lakeville shall be registered in .compliance with the pro- visions of the Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapter 168, as amended. SECTION II, Driver's Licenses: Application Every person who is required by Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapter 171, as amended, to be licensed in order to operate a vehicle or a motor vehicle upon a highway within the State of Minnesota, shall at all times while .operating a vehicle or motor vehicle on any highway within the. Village of Lakeville, bare in his immediate possession a license, issued in:.canpliance with the .provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapter 171, as amended. SECTION III, Definitions. The words and phrases "vehicle," "motor vehicle," "highway," "person" and "Owner" shall have the meanings ascribed to them by Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapters 168 and 171, as amended. SECTION IV, Penalties. The -owner and operator of any motor vehicle operated in violation of Section I hereof, and any person violation Section II hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of .not to exceed Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars or by imprisonment in the Village or county jail for a period of not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both. SECTION..
