HomeMy WebLinkAbout0027 ORDINANCE NO. 27 VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE, INCORPORATING. PROVISIONS OF THE STATE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ACT BY RE'FERE'NCE, AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATIONS THEREOF. THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: ARTICLE I. Highway Traffic Regulation Act Incorporated by Reference. The regulatory provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapter 169, as amended by Laws 1963, 1965 and 1967 are hereby adopted as a traffic ordinance regulating the use of highways, streets and alleys within the Village of Lakeville and are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance as completely as if set out here in full. ARTICLE I1. Penalties. Any violation of the statutes adopted by reference in Article I. is a violation of this ordi- nance when it occurs within the Village of Lakeville. Any person thus violating any provis- ion of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not to exceed 90' days; but if a minimum fine or imprisonment is prescribed by the state Highway Traffic Act for an offense, such penalty shall apply to a person convicted of the same offense under this ordi- nance. ARTICLE 111. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication according to law. Enacted and ordained into an ordinance this 3rd day of July, 1967.
