CITY OF LAKEVILLE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 12, 1988
The meeting was called to order at City Hall by Mayor Zaun at
9:00 a.m. Roll call was taken. Present: Councilmembers
Enright, Sindt and Mayor Zaun.
Absent: Councilmembers Nelson and Harvey.
Also present: Patrick McGarvey, City Administrator/Clerk; and
Dave Delmonico, Investigator from the Lakeville Police Depart-
ment.
Mr. Delmonico explained that the applicant for the August 12th,
13th and 14th softball tournament at Aronson Park for a 3.2 beer
license is now the Lakeville Lions Club. Mr. Delmonico pre-
sented the license application and the certificate of insurance
for the Lions Club.
88.351 Motion was made by Enright, seconded by Sindt to approve a
non-intoxicating malt liquor license to the Lakeville Lions Club
to serve 3.2 beer in Aronson Park on August 12, 13 and 14, 1988.
Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Enright, Sindt, Zaun.
The Council discussed the possibility of amending the local
ordinance to allow temporary 3.2 licenses to non-profit organi-
zations for periodic events during the year with a stipulation
that the organization would need to notify the City Clerk and
Police Department in advance of each time, place and date that
they wish to put the license into use on a temporary basis.
88.352 Motion was made by Sindt, seconded by Enright to adjourn the
special council meeting.
Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Sindt, Enright, Zaun.
