Staff reports City_ Attorney., Patrick Farrell, had several. easements in which he recommended the council ,approve and authorize payment of. Mr. Farrell recommended aa~proval of easements in the payment of $2,187 to H. Gertrude Lyden; $321 to Glenn M. & Bernette H. Brandon, $50 to Floyd H. & Joyce Kregh; $100 to Joseph &-Diane Jasper; and $70 to Louise & Sharon Szabo on the Forest Hi11s project. 81.415 Motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Enright to approve the five easements with the individuals listed above and authorize the~oavment as recommended by Mr. Farrell.. _ Roll call was taken on the motion.... At this trie Mr. Farrell recommended approval of an easement and a settle- went with Vernon Kelly and Eldried Wiley in theamount'of $10,80.0'for the 175th Street improvement as it affected the Skelly gas station property at the comer of 175th Street and Trunk Highway 500 81,417 Motion was made by Nelson, seconded bar Sindt to approve the settlement as recommended by the City Attorney with Vernon. At this time Mr. Farrell presented the history of_ a storm sewer instal ation on the Edgar Asbury' oroi~erty in the :Lakeville Nills addition. The storm sewer went in with the 197.6 road imnrovenents in that area of the city. At this time Mr. Dennis Kalmes-was. present concernnghs application for a conditional use permit to builda garage aver. 1,000 sctua~ce feet. 81.421 Motion was made by Sndt, seconded by Nelson to approve a conditional use ,permit to Dennis P. Kalmes to'build a garageover 1,000 scyuare feet at 16912 Pilot Knob 'Road subject to the condition that no home occupation use is to be made .of the garage space. Roll call was taken. on the motion. Ayes, Zaun, Sindt, Enright &.Nelson. 81.422 Motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Sindt to receive a petitionfrom property owners along Kodiak Avenue requesting city sanitary sewer, water -and an improved street in their area. Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Sindt, Enrighto ~Ielson,& Zaun. 'The City Administrator recommended that the council authorize Consulting ,Engineers Diversified to prepare an update. of the preliminar~7 report providing 1982 cost estimates for extending sewer .and water to Kodiak Avenue along either a northerl~r or sputherly .route from the existing systems as vreviously studied. 81.423 Motion was made by Nelson, seconded''by Sndt to authorize Consulting Fngin- eers Diversified to prepare a preliminary.`report for the. improvements requested. along Kodiak. Enterprises for an underground sprinkler system for a portion of the fire station property in the "amount. of $4,475. The _3- r • CITY OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL £~'iEETING September'8, 1981 City Council discussed the need for the system and allocation of the remaining proceeds of the bond issue for the new fire station. 81.436 Motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Enright to approve the `agreement .with Oster Enterprises in the amount of,$4,~75 for the installation of an underground sprinkler system. as provided in the. agreement for the new fire .station. ' At this time Councilman'Nelson had to leave the meeting to go to work. 81.440 Motion was made by Sindt`r seconded by Enright to receive the report from the City. Engineer concerning he installation of a road mprover~~ent on - Jacquard Avenue from 208th Street approximately 675 feet to the north., approve `the plans from the City Engineer® and approve ,a change order with Sandmark Construction for the work object to a development agreement addendum. being executed by 'the developers of The Meadows:'2nd Addition for a part of the road improvement: costs." City Engineer to prepare a preliminary report on-the improvement. of Hull Avenue Fromm 208th Street to 205th Street. Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Zauri, Sindt & Enright. 81.444 Motion was made by Sndt, seconded by Enright to authorize "No Parking" installation on 207th Street on the south side-loading dock area for. Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Enright, Zaun & Sindt. 81.446 Motion was made by Sindt, seconded by Enright to approve the use of City equipment and its personnel to perform part of the grading and installation of'athleticfields on the. new Lakeville Elementary School site as per the terms outlined in a memo from the Park and Recreation Director; dated .September 4,.1981.
