HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-24-80 CITY OF LAKEVILLE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING 'June 24, 1980 Roll call was taken. Present: Councilmembers Nelson, Zaun and Sindt. Absent: Councilmember Spande and Mayor Lekson. Duane Zaun, Acting Mayor, stated that the special council meeting was for the primary purpose of the council sitting as the Board of Review on the assessment of property in the City of Lakeville as determined by the Dakota County Assessors Office. Mr. Zaun stated that the council had one other item of business at this time which to consider. The City Administrator advised the council of a resolution and agreement with the Minnesota Department of .Transportation on the improvement and overlay of Trunk Highway 50 from the east corporate limits of Lakeville to 205th Street on Holyoke Avenue. The Administrator stated that state law requires that the City pay 400 of the costs for any extra width of street beyond the 24 feet and for the phasing of utility castings in the road right-of-way plus the appropriate share of the administrative engineering overhead. 80.311 Motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Sindt to approve and adopt Resolution No. 80-68 approving a cooperative agreement with the Minnesota Department of .Transportation, Agreement No. 60011, Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Nelson, Zaun and Sindt. Nays, none. The council also received an assessment abatement recommendation from the assessors office for consideration. 80.312 Motion was made by Zaun, seconded by Sindt to approve an assessment abatement to property owned by Edward P. Vivant and Michael J. McNamara for parcel #22-00600-O11-25 as recommended by the assessor.. Ro11 call was taken on the motion. Ayes, Nelson, Zaun and Sindt. Nays, none. At this time officials from the Dakota County Assessors Office met with property owners as they appeared at the Board of Review meeting, to answer questions concerning the assessment of their property. Councilmember Spande arrived at the meeting at 5:00 p.m. 80.313 The council remained in session until 7:00 p,m, at which time a motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Sindt to adjourn the special council meeting.
