HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-29-85 ss` s ` ~ ~ • CITY OF LAKEVILLE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MAY 29, 1985 The meeting was called to order by the Acting Mayor, Robert Nelson, at 7:UU p.m. Roll call was taken. Present: Council members Nelson, Sindt, Enright and Harvey. Absent.: Mayor Zaun. At this time, Mr. Nelson called upon Bill Benjamin from the Dakota County assessor's office to present the general details of the 1985 market values for property in Lakeville and the general procedure for the Board of Review meeting. Mr. Benjamin indicated that the change in property market values across the board in Lakeville from 1984 to 1985 had been almost nill, unless the property had experienced some recent development or building construction. At this time Mayor Zaun arrived and took his chair. Mr. Benjamin then answered some general questions from citizens present. Representatives from the Dakota County assessor's office then met with the property owners present to discuss their individual concerns in regard to their property. The city clerk gave copies of letters from Robert A. Gearin, Gary H. Johnson, Dale R. Maggi, James A. Maggi Sr., James Maggi Jr., George Hennesse and Larry Koury to the assessor for consideration of their concerns over their market values on their property. Mayor Zaun then recessed the council meeting to allow the representa- tives of the Dakota County assessor's office to meet with the citizens. The council moved on to handle review of the council work session agenda during the recess. Mayor Zaun then reconvened the council meeting, and Mr. Benjamin reported that none of the citizens officially wish to appeal their assessment to the Board of Review/City Council. 85.239 Motion was made by Sindt, seconded by Harvey to adjourn the special council meeting/Board of Review.
