Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
NOVEMBER 6, 2003
The November 6, 2003 Planning Commission meeting was called to order by
Chair Stolte in the City Hall Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m.
Flag pledge and roll call of members:
Present: Pattee, Swecker, Stolte, Detjen, Grenz, Drotning, ex-officio Puncochar.
Absent: Reuvers.
Staff Present: Daryl Morey, Planning Director; Frank Dempsey, Associate
Planner; jay Rubash, Assistant City Engineer; Daniel Licht, Northwest
Associated Consultants; Andrea Poehler, Assistant City Attorney; and Penny.
Brevig, Recording Secretary.
ITEM 3; APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES:
The October 16, 2003 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved. as
presented.
The October 16, 2003 Planning Commission work session meeting notes were
approved as presented.
ITEM 4: ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Mr. Morey indicated the following items were distributed to the Planning
Commission members and staff before tonight's meeting:
1. November 5, 2003 Parks, Recreation and.Natural Resources Committee
Meeting Motion regarding Crossroads 4~ Addition.
2. Tentative dates for Planning Commission meetings in 2004.
3. Copy of a letter to the Metropolitan Council from City Administrator
Robert Erickson, along with a memo from Dan Licht of NAC,
regarding the 2030 Regional Development Framework.
ITEM 5. CONSENT AGENDA
03.119 Motion by Swecker, Second by Pattee to recommend to City Council approval of
the November 6, 2003 Planning Commission Consent Agenda as follows:

Approve the application of D. R. Horton, Inc. for the final plat of 20 single
family homes to be known as Crossroads 4~ Addition, located north of
179 Street, between Gerdine Path and. Flagstaff Avenue.
Ayes: Pattee, Swecker, Stolte, Detjen, Grenz, Drotning.
Nays: 0
ITEM 8. STAFF NOTICES
Mr. Morey reminded the Planning Commission and public that the November
20, 2003 Planning Commission meeting has been cancelled and the next meeting
is scheduled for December 4, 2003.
Mr. Morey asked for the Planning Commission s input on their availability for
January, 2004 meetings due to the first .scheduled meeting in January being
January 1, 2004.. Mr. Morey stated that the meetings could be shifted to the
second and fourth Thursdays in January (the 8~ and 22nd) or only one meeting
could be held on the third Thursday (the 15~). Commission members agreed
that either scenario was acceptable.
• There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
