CONTIlVtTED HEARING ON CLC?SING OF JUNG TRAIL
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ptako at 8s00 P.Nl. Present;
Zaux~, Standee, Mako, Emond and.Olark$oa.
The Clerk read the nu.nutes of the Special meeting of July 22,.'1975',
Wal].p Potter said that he recognised the~Yact that the situation cannot be
resolved until all .the property owners are is agreement. He felt that this
matter hacl been handled in a dust fashion but is not considering this matter
closed. Ie asked what can be done .about the property owners land along the
lake and if the traffic problem can be resolved. He felt that. the roads should
be posted at a much lower speed :limit. He al+~o asked what tae Cecil will
do about the tires along the shore and whose liability is it if someone gets.
hurt.. The use of the road by .gravel trucks was also ~aestioned.
.Mayor Mako said. that he is in favor of -using cos~mi.ttees to resolve this
problem but we~uld .:like ' to postpone. this until Jaaa<txary.
Mr. Zahn said`thst he had asked fore some legal answers to various questions.
....but had nmt received this information yet.
Mr. Find said that he is in agreement with forming a eo3.ttee to-.study this
.situation.
Mr. Standee suggested that the attorney be part of this committee.
Mar. Clarkson and Mr. Maki will meet with-the Chief of Poliee'to see what can
be done about the speed limits.
The matter of the speed .limit will be placed on thee. Council agenda;foa^ the
3rd meeting. this ~cmth.
7~. Motion by Etnond seconded by Standee to deter the request for the closing of
Juno 'Trail:. Zaun, Standee, Mako, Emond and. Clarkson "aye", motiara carried.
Thee appointment of the com~i.ttee to_ study Juno Trail will be appoiasted on
the. t~haieid meeting ~ J , 19T6.
