DAKOTA COUNTY, MJNNESOTA
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, CHAPTER 1
OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE
CONCERNING LENGTH OF WEEDS AND GRASS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 4-1-3 of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read as
follows:
4-1-3: LENGTH OF WEEDS AND GRASS:
A. Weeds or grass in excess of eight inches (8") in length, on any lot less than one
acre in size that has a building constructed on it, is a public nuisance and is
prohibited.
B. Weeds or grass in excess of eight inches (8") in length, on any lot less than one
acre in size that abuts a lot thaf has a building constructed on it, is a public
nuisance and is prohibited..
C. After giving the owner or occupant of a lot not in compliance with the length
limitation for grass and weeds seven (7) days' advance written notice of the
noncompliance, the City may cut, or cause to be cut, the grass and weeds and
may assess the cost against the property in accordance with Minnesota Statutes
section 429.061
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective June 1, 2007.
ADOPTED this 16th day of April , 2007 by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville,- Minnesota.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA ORDAINS:
