HomeMy WebLinkAbout0771 ORDINANCE NO. 77.1 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3 OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING THE LICENSING OF PEDDLERS AND TRANSIENT MERCHANTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 3-13-2(C)(12) of the Lakeville City Code is amended to provide: 12. A statement as to: (1) whether the applicant has been convicted of any felony within the last ten (10) years; (2) whether the applicant has been convicted of any crime of violence as defined by Minnesota Statutes § 624.712, as amended, or any violent crime as defined in Minnesota Statutes § 609.1095, as amended; (3) whether the applicant has been convicted of a gross misdemeanor or .misdemeanor, other than traffic offenses, within the last ten (10) years; SECTION 2. Section 3-13-4(C) of the Lakeville City Code is amended to provide: C. The conviction of the applicant for a felony offense within the past ten (10) years from the date of application. The conviction of the applicant for a crime of violence as defined by Minnesota Statutes § 624.712, as amended, or violent crime as defined by Minnesota Statutes § 609.1095, as amended. The conviction of the applicant for a gross misdemeanor or misdemeanor offense within the past ten (10) years from the date of application which adversely reflects on the person's ability to conduct the business for which the license is being sought in an honest and legal manner that will not adversely affect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the city. Such violations shall include, but not be limited to: burglary, theft, larceny, swindling, fraud, unlawful business practices, any crime involving dishonesty and any form of actual or threatened physical harm .against another person; or SECTION 3.
