HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-29-76 f CITY. OF LAKEVILLE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING ,MARCH 29; 1976 The. meeting was called to order by Mayor Mako at 7:05 P:M. Flag pledge followed. Roll call was taken. Present.; Zaun, Emond,, Clarkson; Curry and Mako.. Also present: Patrick McGarvey, City Administrator. The City Administrator presented a written agreement between the City and Mr. Norman Werner for financial consulting services to the City, and re- commended the Council approve the agreement. 76.140 Motion was made by Emond, seconded by Curry to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the agreement. Roll call was .taken. "Ayes", Mako, Emond, Clarkson, Zaun and Curry. Motion. carried. The City Administrator introduced Mr. .Ted Willard, Executive Director of LOGIS and then presented the agreement betweenthe .City and LOGIS for time sharing computer service. A discussion was held on the cost and benefits of the. system and M~. Willard answered several. questions from the Council. 76.141 Motion was made by Emond, seconded by .Zaun to adopt :Resolution. 76-13 approving .and authorizing the execution of the agreement between the City and LOGIS and requesting the City of Lakeville be approved as an associate member. Roll call was taken. "Ayes" Mako, Emond, Clarkson, Zaun and Curry.- Motion carried. The C3.ty Administratorpresented Resolution 7b-14 concerning the adoption of the Central Business. District concept plan with 1 amendment. .76.142 Motion was made by Zaun, seconded by Curry to adopt resolution 76-14 adopting the Central Business District concept plan as-amended on page 39. Roll call was taken. "Ayes", Mako, Emond, Clarkson, Zaun and Curry. Motion carried. The"City Administrator recommended the Council authorize load limits on certain roads as per a memo from the Public Works Director, Mr. James Robinette that the load limits.. would be for 4 tons. 76.143 Motion was made by Emond, seconded. by Zaun to place 4 ton load limits on roads specified in the memo from Mr. Robinette dated March`26,`1976. Roll call was taken.. "Ayes"', Mako, Emond, Clarkson, Zaun and Curry. Motion carried. 76.144 Motion was made by Emond, seconded by Clarkson to approve a sanitation License. for Lakeville Sanitation Service for 1976. Roll call was taken:. "Ayes", Mako, Emond, Clarkson, Zaun, Curry. Motion carried. ..76.145 Motion by Curry, seconded by Zaun to d rect the City Engineer to Look `into alternate ways of routing he storm, water run.-off .;from part: of the Lakeridge Addition to prevent'it'from entering Bassett's Addition. Roll call was taken. "Ayes", Mako, Emond, Clarkson, Zaun and Curry. Motion` carried. The Council when discussed the need for an addition to .thee municipal Liquor Store,. both on and off .sale. Council also discussed the merits` of a market feasibility study concerning the improvement, enlargement, and benefits of an improvement program for the Liquor S ore. Thecdn-' census of the Council was that the Administrator should contact. the City's planning consultant to discuss the language of an agreement to conduct a market feasibility study and report. back to the City Council: Motion was made by; Emond, seconded by Zaun to ad3ourn the meeting.
