y CITY OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL.MEETING JUNE. 17, .1974 The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Acting Mayor Edward Mako, Flag pledge followed. Present; Brander, Mako, and Em4nd. Absent; Jensen and Clarkson. Also present; Robert F'rigaard, City Engineer and Jim Taurinakas, City Attorney. 74.338 Motion by Brander seconded by Emond to accept the minutes of the June 10, 1974, meeting as presented. Brander, Mako and IIroond "aye"~ motion carried. .74.339 Motion by Brander seconded by Emond to pay the elai.ms against the City., list attached. Mako, Emond and Brander "aye", motion carried. 74.340 Motion by Brander seconded by Emond to pay the claims against the Liquor Store, list attached. Emond, Brander and Mako "aye", motion carried. Martha Erickson requested a feasibility study on a trail system as she reported. that money is available from the Departanent of Natural Resources. This must be submitted by July 15th.. The .Park & Recreation Cor~nittee would like Mr. Robinette to make this study. The Council felt that this is too short a time to make this study. Mr. Frigaard presented the plans and specs for sealcoating of scare city streets. 74.341 Motion by Emond seconded by Brander to approve the plans and'specs for the seal- coating and to set a bid letting date for July 11 at 2:00 P.M. Brander, Mako and Emond "aye", motion carried. A petition was received from Jerome Clay and George Warweg for the installation of sewer and water to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 8c 6 Greer's Rearrangement, Antlers Park Addition, .all in Blk. 19 and Lot 12, Blk 18, Antlers Park. 74.342 Motion by Emond seconded by Mako to acknowledge receipt of the above petition from Jerome Clay and George Warweg. Mako, Emond and Brander "aye", motion carried. 74.343 Motion by Mako seconded by Brander to instruct the engineer to include Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, Greer's Rearrangement, Antlers Park Addition all in Blk 19 and Lot 12, Blk 18, Antlers Park in the Lake Marion.pro~eet. Emond, Brander and Mako "aye", m©tion carried. The hearing on Lakeridge Addition was opened. A letter from the Environmental Quality Commission was read, a copy of which is attached to these minutes. Mr. Fredrick Brown, Attorney representing Mr. Grohosk requested that a special meeting be set up with the Council after all-the concerned attorneys had met to discuss this problem. He felt the Council should not wait until the first meeting in July to make a decision regarding this plat. Mr. Taurinskas ad~rised the Council to table this hearing until the lst meeting in July so that the environmental assessment request can be reviewed. Mr. Mako mentioned that a holding pond has been discussed for Lakeridge Addition. Steve Grohoski said that they are not ready to grant permission for a continuance at this time and Mr. Brown again requested that a special meeting be held. 74.344 Motion by Mako seconded by Emond to table the hearing on Lakeridge Addition until July 1 at 8:30 P.M. Brander, Mako and Emond "aye", motion carried. The hearing on the proposed curb and gutter improvements on 207th St. W. was opened,. Mr. Mako said that there are not enough Council members present and that no vote can be taken at this meeting.. Mr. Robert Christiansen asked why the hearing was being held and that the persons present had made a special effort to get to this. meeting, Mr. Frigaard read, the feasibility report. A list of interested persons present is attached to these minutes. 74.345 ~ Motion by Mako seconded by Brander to table the hearing on the proposed curb and gutter improvement on 207th St. until 9:00 P.M. on July 1. Mr. Wright requested .some information regarding the expansion of the liquor store. Martha Erickson presented. some BCentennialinformation to the Council.
