MUNICIPAL BUILDING AIRLAKE_PARK

Mayor Jensen called the meeting to order with all members of Cc~uneil in atten-
dance. Other persons present were: City Administrator Hogan; and, representing
Park and Recreation Coa~ittee were Nancy Enright, Richard LeRoy, and .Len Nelson.
From time to time, Parks Director Steve Michaud, and Public Works Director Jim
Robinette, and Civil Defense Director Paul Oxley, were present.
At the request of the Mayor and Council, the Administrator reviewed his reeoamlendations
and the Council policy he Followed in making those recommendations. The policy
elements Followed were:
1-- Maintain the mill levq at 1~+ mills.
2-- Keep present connnitments within established mill levy policy.
3-- Take on new commitments we can afford within established mill levy
policy.
Put all capital outlay items into a Capital Improvements Program
iF individual budgets had to be cut.
Council advised ail parties that the Administrator recommendations were not
final and that Council may decide to add or subtract from said reoomsaendations
when they adopt the budget.
The Park and Recreation budget was discussed in detail. Additional information
will be provided regarding breakdown between maintenance and develop®ent through
Steve Michaud.
The Civil Defense budget was also reviewed in detail.
Mayor Jensen had to leave at approximately 5:30 P.M. and Mayor Pro Tem l+gako
chaired the meeting from that point an.
Motion by Clarkson, seconded by Ehtond, to continue the budget meeting to Octo-
ber 3rd, 7:00 P.M.,--aye's nay's none.
Meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
