Roll call followed with Friedges, Jensen and Emond present. Edward Mako and Michael Edwards were sworn in as members of the council. Also sworn in were Clinton Crass, Justice of the Peace and Walter Makos, as committee member of the Park and Recreation Committee. Also present; Pat Farrell, Village Attorney and Robert Frigaard, Village Engineer. 73.1 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to approve the minutes. of the Ilecember 18, " 1972, meeting as read. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Errand ark Edwards "aye", motion carried. 73.2 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to approve the minutes for the .Special Ilecember 29, 1972, meeting as presented.. Mako, Jensen, Emond, Edwards and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.3 Motion by Friedges seconded by Mako to pay the claims. against the Village. Jensen, Emond, Edwards, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. The Park & Recreation Committee report for I?ecember 13, 1972: was prresented. l+~s. Oxley advised the council that surplus trucks might be available and he would. check into this. He also presented the council with a short report. Some residents of Valley Park requested that the skating rinks be finished. The bids for the accounting machine were closed at 8;30 P. M. 73.4 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to table the bid without opening it. Emorxi,;Edwards, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried. The Planning Cozami.ssion minutes of necember l4, 1972, were. presented. 73.5 .Motion by Friedges seconded by Errand to fallow the Planning Commission recommendation and grant Shiloh Stables a conditional use permit for two years. Edwards, Friedges, Mako, Jenson and Emond' "aye", motion carried. 73.6 Motion by Friedges seconded by Emond to follow the Planning Commissiox; recommendation and rezone the following piece of property from R-1C to B-4 for A. M. Banks; ":Lot 11, Black 1, Overhand 1st Addition. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Emond "aye", Edwards opposed, motion .carried. 73.7 .Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to follow the P1a,nning Commission recommendation and grant Mr. Francis E. Rittenhouse a special ease permit to operate a print shop at his Orchard Lake home on 172nd St. W. anti Kodiak Ave. Legal description as fellows: part of Lot 1, Sec 11, T114 R20. Mako, Jensen, Emcrn~, Edwards ami Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.8 Motion by Emond secorx~ed by Edwards to follow the Planning Commission recommendation and. grant Mike Keegan a building permit for apse-fob Wausau home on the Pollawin property;Lots 1,2,3,5 &,6,-Block 1, Greer & Sullivan Addn. & Lat 25 & 16, B1.3,~ Jensen, Errand, Edwards, Friedges and N,ako "aye", motion carried. Marion Heights Addn. 73.9 Motion by Friedges seconded by Emond to follow the Planning Commission recomrnendatiar and approve the final plat of Dennis Wilson far sub-division of Lot 1 of the NEB of the SW~, and of the NG1~ of the SEy-~. of See. 13, T114, R21, Emorxi, Edwards, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried. 73.10 Motion by Friedges seconded by Mako to approve the proposals made by Mayor Jensen as on the attached list for committee members, consultants, health. officer, newspaper, bank and acting mayor and also the list of the order of business. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Emond and Edwards "aye", motion carried. 73.12 Motion by Mako seconded by Emond to'approve the bonds as presently written on the Village personnel. Mako, Jensen, Errand, Edwards and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.13 Motion by Jensen seconded by Edwards to approve the resolution comme~ing George Sullivan and Jerome Clay for their gears of service to the community. Mr. Frigaard advised the council that it would be a g©od idea to notify the gravel permit operators to post "na snowmobiling signs as there had been a bad accident at one in a neighboring community, 73.15 Motion by Jensen seconded by Ed~re.rds to grant On and tiff sale beer licenses to_the Sea Girt Ballroom and The Place. Edwards, Friedges, Mako, Jensen. and Emond "aye", motion carried.' 73.16 Motion by Fr~iedges seconded by Mako to grant an On Sale beer. License 'to th® Ole Piper Inn Again, Inc. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Emor~d ar~d Edwards "aye" motion carried. 73.17 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to grant garbage permits subject to the insurance. to Town & Country ni.sposal Service and.: Atlas l?isposal Service. Mako, Jensen, Emond, Edwards arxi Friedges "aye", motion carried.: A letter from the Village Attorney regarding the Rapp7.inger Mobile Home Permit was read. An adderxi~zm to Glenn Addition street improvement was presented. and Mr. Fri~aard recommended that a hearing be set for this pro~eat. 73.18 Motion by Emond secor~ed by Fri.edges to set a public hearing on the street improvements in Glenn Addition fcr Feb. 6,.1973, at 8 P.M, in the High School Cafeteria. Jensen, Emond, Edwards, Friedges and Mako "aye" motion-carried.. 73.19 Motion by Emond seconded by Mako to follow the engineer's recommendation and. authorize the signing of the pipeline agreement with the Chicago, Milw., St. P. & Pacific R.R. Co. for..constructionand maintenance of a; sanitary sewer on the iflcght of way of the railroad.
