f d VILLAGE OF LAKEVl~ COUNCIL MEETING ~ JANUARY 2, 1973 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensen at 8 P.M.- Snvocation was given by Pastor Blenkush. Roll call followed with Friedges, Jensen and Emond present. Edward Mako and Michael Edwards were sworn in as members of the council. Also sworn in were Clinton Crass, Justice of the Peace and Walter Makos, as committee member of the Park and Recreation Committee. Also present; Pat Farrell, Village Attorney and Robert Frigaard, Village Engineer. 73.1 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to approve the minutes. of the Ilecember 18, " 1972, meeting as read. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Errand ark Edwards "aye", motion carried. 73.2 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to approve the minutes for the .Special Ilecember 29, 1972, meeting as presented.. Mako, Jensen, Emond, Edwards and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.3 Motion by Friedges seconded by Mako to pay the claims. against the Village. Jensen, Emond, Edwards, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. The Park & Recreation Committee report for I?ecember 13, 1972: was prresented. l+~s. Oxley advised the council that surplus trucks might be available and he would. check into this. He also presented the council with a short report. Some residents of Valley Park requested that the skating rinks be finished. The bids for the accounting machine were closed at 8;30 P. The Planning Cozami.ssion minutes of necember l4, 1972, were. presented. 73.5 .Motion by Friedges seconded by Errand to fallow the Planning Commission recommendation and grant Shiloh Stables a conditional use permit for two years. Edwards, Friedges, Mako, Jenson and Emond' "aye", motion carried. 73.6 Motion by Friedges seconded by Emond to follow the Planning Commissiox; recommendation and rezone the following piece of property from R-1C to B-4 for A. M. Banks; ":Lot 11, Black 1, Overhand 1st Addition. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Emond "aye", Edwards opposed, motion .carried. 73.7 .Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to follow the P1a,nning Commission recommendation and grant Mr. Francis E. Rittenhouse a special ease permit to operate a print shop at his Orchard Lake home on 172nd St. W. anti Kodiak Ave. Legal description as fellows: part of Lot 1, Sec 11, T114 R20.
