F1.ag pledge followed. .Present; Friedges, Mako, Jensen., Emond and Edwards. .Also present; Robert Frigaard, Village Ehgineer. 73.27. ffiotion by Emond seconded by Edwards to approve the minutes of the January 2, 1973, meeting as read. Friedges,` Mako, Jensen, Emend and Edwards "aye", motion carried. The Building Inspector's report for December 1972 was presented.. A wage meeting was set for the 11th of January to start at l©s00.A. M. The Park and Recreation minutes for December 27, 1972, were presented. Henry Lau and John Baumgartner appeared to express their objection to the recommended 34 mile speed limit for snowmobiles on lakes. 73.28 Motion by Mako seconded`by Emond to deny the Park anal Recreation Committee recommendation to place a 3c)mile an hour limit on snowmobiles on the lakes. Mako, Emottd, Edwards and Friedges "aye", Jensen opposed, motion carried. .73.29 Motion by Edwards secoxxied by Friedges to pux°chase~the two lots south of the Orchard Lake Park for $2,725.©Q. Jensen,_Emond, Edwards, Friedges, and.Mako "aye",: motion carried. .73.34 Motion by Mako seconded by Edwards to purchase 250 feet of 1~" hose, a nozzle and adapter for flooding the rinks and have the council park committee discuss with Bud Alich how this will be taken care of. Emend, Edwards, Fredges, Mako and ..Jensen "aye" motion carried. The P~.anning Commission minutes for December 28, 1972, were presented. 73.31 Motion by Friedges secoa~ded by I~iako to follow the Planning Commission recomffiendation and grant a permit to Dick McDonald to build a Waconia`xOme for a sales office at; Keokuk Ave and Eighway #'j0. Edwards, Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Emend "aye", motion carried. 73.32 Motion by Fredge~ seconded by Emend to follow,~,he Planning Commission ~ recommendation and approve the final plat for Dak®ta H~i.ghts~ub~eet ~olt~h engineer's recommendation that only half the amount of the escrow for the gravel be posted and subject to the attorney's approval. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Emend and Edwards "aye", motion carried. 73.33 Motion. by Emond seconded by Fredges to table the mobile home permit for Mr. Foote until the s~cond:;xiaeeting in February. Mako, Jensen, Eaaond, Edwards and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.3+ Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to reverse the Planning Commission' recommendation and grant Robert Steffenhagen a mobile home perm3.t. Jensen, Emond, Friedges and A~ako "aye"., Edwards abstained, motion carried. 73.35 Motion by Emend seconded by Friedges to grant Mr. Raplinger a mobile home permit and follow the attorney's recommendation and charge permit.fees for 3 ...years. Emend, F'riedges, Mako and Jensen."aye", Ed~rards opposed, motion carried. Norm Schultz of Aetna .Variable Annuity. Life Insurance Company presented a pr®posed investment program for Village employee to the council. 73.37 Motion by Edwards seconded by Jensen to authorize the Aet~aa Variably Annuity r ~ i ~ VILLA(rE OF L~RI+!~CI.LE COUNCIL MEETINQr ' ~ JANUARY 8, 1973 Life Insurance Company to present their plate to the Village employees. Upon conclusion of that meeting, the employees are tc> reeo~anend to the Village , Council whether or not thep would desire this as part of the Village program with.. the clerk to bring back a written recommendation. M~ko, Jensen, end, and Edwarda "aye" ,Friedges opposed, motion carried. 73.38. Motion by Jensen seconded by Friedges to issue another cheek to Mr. ~enmy Dunham and Alice Dunham and pay them an e$-tra 5¢ per yard ~'or the gravel the Village received in the fall. of 1972. Mako, Jensen, Emond, Edwards: and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.39 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to pay 15¢ per yard to the Dunhams for gravel for the coming year. Jensen, Emond, Edwards, Friedges and Mako "syeTM, motioncarried. 73.x+4 Motion by Friedges seconded by Emond that the council agrees with the "373" Population:figure for the portion of land annexed to Far~ngt©n. Emond, Edwards, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried. 73.1 Motion by Edwards seconded by Emond to advertise for bids on the remodeling of the old maintenance building. Edwards, Friedges, Jensen and Emend "aye", Mako opposed, motion carried. 73.x+2 Motion by E~uond seconded by Friedges to open the bid on the. accounting machixae. Friedges, Nlako, Jensen, Emond and Edwards "aye", motion carried. 73.3 Motion by Emond seconded by Friedges to accept the bid on the accounting machine. Mako, Jensen, Emond, Edwards and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 73.~+~ Motion ~ Jensen seconded by Friedges to authorise the clerk to purchase the accounting machine from Burroughs Corp. at the total figure of ~17,2~4#.44. These figures include the followings Commuter L-3311-648 X13,294.44 Tape Punch -A-562 ~1, 694.44, 'ape Reader-A581 $1, x+94.40, Less (~overrmtental Discount of ~1,6~+7.44 and plus Transportation of X86.44--~1~+,949.44. For Software--IItility Bill3.ng and Reeeivimg-X1,254.44, Payroll, W-2 and 9~+1-:A: $1,485.44 for a total Software X2,335.44. Tots,l price for machine and software, ~17,2~+~4.a4. Jensen, ~mond, Edwards, Friedges and I~ako "ape", motionearried. Three bids on the purchase of a police car were presented. Thep are as followss Allens-$2,444.40 with trade, Rosemount Dodge--~2,044.?1 with trade, and Valley Chrysler-$2,348.99 with trade. 72.x+5 Motion by Jensen seconded by Friedges to purchase the police car from the low bidder, Allens at the purchase price of $2,440.44.
