s t r a SPECIAL VILLAGE QF LAKEVTLLE COUNCIL Ag"~'T3NG FOR PUBLIC HFaRINGS ©CTOBE~R ~ ~ 1973 The meeting was called to order. at 7;30 P.M.-by Mayor Jensen. Present;. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Bm©nd. Absent; Edwards. Also present; Robert Frigaard, Village engineer and Pat Farrell, Village attorney. The hearing far proposed assessment in Glenn Addition for atreet was opened. After the notice of hearing was read, Mr. Frgaard gave a brief resume of the project sad costs. Dean Warren asked when his street would be paved and was told this would have to wait for the development east of Glenn Addition as the water and. sewer are stubbed out in this street. A list of interested persons attending this meeting is attached. Mr. E$le asked how the .cost is divided ®n~;a corner lot and was told .that this is figured by using the front footage plus half the side. 73.61 Motion by Emond seconded by A~ako to adopt the assessment rolls for project #73-1, Glenn Addition Street$ as presented. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and F,mond "aye", motion carried. The public hearing for assessments of the sanitary sewer i~rever~ent in College Perk Addition was opened a,t $;OD P.M. The notice of Rearing was read. Mr. Frigaard gave a brief resume of this project. A list of interested persons attending this meeting is attached. 73.615 Nation by Emond seconded by Mako to adopt the assessment rolls for project #'j2.~+-College Park Sewer, as presented. ~Iako, Jensen, Emcaaci and Friedges "aye", motion carried. The public hearing for assessments of Clays Acres Streets was opened at 8s30 P.Ni. A list of interested persons attending is attached. After .the notice of public hearing was. read, Mr.~Frigaard gave a brief resume of this project and the costs. Fred Norgaard said that he did not feel that this street work would benefit his property and said that he had not received a notice of public hearing for the preliminary report. Mr. Farrell advised Mr. Norgaard that/~i~d twenty days in which to appeal this assessment. Mr. Jensen and Mr. Friedges will cheek out Mr. Norgaards request in re the condition of the boulevards. Robert Nicholson said that he did not feel that his driveway was up to grade and this matter will be checked out when the paving project is finished in the next week. 73.616 Nation by Emoad seconded by Friedges to adopt the assessment rolls for Project ~73-~-Clays Acres Streets as presented. Jensen, bnond, Friedges and Mako 'aye", motion carried. .The hearing on proposed assessments .for Southbluff and Weiehselbaum's Sewer and Water extensans~~was opened at 8;54 P.M. A list of interested property owners is attached. The Notice of Hearing was read. Mr. Fx°igaard gave a resume of the work that was done cad the east for this project.. Miss Weiehselbaum asked about the stubb costs and.~area eharges.,and when these .assessments can be paid. Emond, Friedges, Mako, and Jensen "aver', moti©m carried. The Public Hearing for prop©aed assessments for Project 72-6, 215th St. was opened at 9115 P.M. A list of nteres ed,persons attending is attached. after the notice of hearing was read, Mr. igaard gave a brief resume of the pr~?ject. He stated that the line had been extended south of the road so that .the property on the south .side could utilize them. Property belonging to the school which may be sold was discussed in re placing an assessment against the same. 73.618 NI©tion by Emend seconded by Friedges to eQntint~e the hearing on the proposed assessments of 215th St. until Tuesday the 9th,of October at 9:3o P.M. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Emond "aye", motion carried. The public hearing for proposed assessments for Project 72-8, Instant Homes, was opened at 9:3o P.M. 1~r. Frigaard gave a brief resume of his preliminazy report after the notice of hearing was>read. A list of. interested property owners attending this meeting is attached. 73.618 Motion by Emond ~econded by Mako to adopt the assessment rolls for Project #'T2-8, Instant H mee, as presented. Mako, Jensen, Emond and Friedges "aye'", motion carried. The hearing on the proposed assessments for Project 72-7, water 8c sewer A7.rlake, was opened at 9t~5 P.M. A list of interested. property owners is attached. Mr. Frigaerd gave a resume of this project ei'tsr the notice of hearing was .read. Mr. Mako asked why. the costs were different than on the preliminary report. Air. Johnson. asked if assessments against parcels where there are buildings could be moved to some other property so that they would not have to be paid up imffiediately. He was advised that this is not possible. 73.624 Motion by Emcmd seconded by Priedges to adopt the assessment rolls for Project 72.7, Water and Sewer Airiake Park, as presented.
