HomeMy WebLinkAbout0763 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO.: 763 AN QRDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9-3-5.A.8 :(SIGN ORDINANCE) Of THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS: Section 1. Section> 9-3-5.A.8 ofi the Lakeville City Code (construction signs). is hereby amended to read as follows: 8. Construction Signs: A temporary construction sign confined to the site of the construction, alteration or repair shall be allowed provided that: a. One (1) sign shall be permitted for each protect or one (1) sign for each frontage to a-major collector or arterial street, whichever is greater for projects that have received all required City approvals.. The allowed construction sign may identify the project, .builder(s), architect(s), contractor(s}, financier(s), etc. on the allowed sign. b. The sign must be removed within two (2) years of the date of issuance of the first building permit on the site or when the particular project is completed, whichever is sooner. For. residential subdivisions, the .sign shall be removed when :eighty-fve (85} percent of the available hots or dwelling units are sold and/ar is-sued .building permits. c. No sign may exceed thirty two (32) square feet in the A-P, RA, RAO, RS-1, RS-2, RS-3, RS-4, RS-CBD, RSMH, RST-1, RST-2, and RM-1 districts or sixty four (64) square feet in area in an RH-1 and all C (commercial.) and T {industrial) districts. d. No gn may exceed a height of eight feet (8`) -feet in the A-P, RA, RAO, RS-1, RS-2, RS-3, RS-4, RS-CBD, :RSMH, ..RST-1, RST-2, and RM-1 districts or a height of ten feet (10'} in an RH-1-and .all C (commercial) and I (industrial) districts. e. .The sign sha11 not be illuminated. Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and publication according to law.
