The minutes of the November 3, 1993 Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting were discussed. Committee member Messinger pointed out that the addition to the previous minutes concerning the gravel base on the Kabot Cove trail may have been too late to be seen by Council prior to their approval of the plat. Staff assured her that the information was in the development agreement and the gravel base will be installed. Messinger also mentioned that following the discussion of Brackett's Park playground with the residents, she had made a comment which was not reflected m the minutes. She had stated that she did not want funds • over the amount originally budgeted for this park to be spent on larger trees or more intense screening. She feels the money would be better spent on, something ,which would be beneficial to a larger number of people? i.e., extending the beach hours. Staff stated that the funds for this project would come from the park dedication fund .and the expenditures for the park would be very close to the actual bud et. Raymond suggested waiting , until spring when the trees are in ~11 foliage to determine what will actually be .needed for screening. Staff also stated that a retaining wall has been considered for the site. The minutes were approved with the addition of the above comments. ITEM 4. -Citizen comments.
