VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 23, 1971.:
The meeting was called to 'order at 8 P.M. by Mayor. Mako. Flag. pledge followed.

Village attorney, and Robert Aosene, engineer.:
.The informational heari~g.forthe.Forest Hills Addition property owners
was opened. Mayor Mako ;passed out a worksheet (copy attached), on the different
costs .involved for the purchase of the Forest Hills Water System.: A list of
interested property owners-.present is also attached.
Property owners asked questions regarding other payments than those shown on
the work sheet and. if every lot would be assessed. The attorney expl.ened
to the .homeowners that they will have to relinquish rights to the water mains
and laterals to circumvent payment of personal property taxes.
It was .also explained that in the future if a water tower is erected, there
would-be some additional charge but the property owners would be given credit
for what had already. been. paid. A list of the Village water rate~swas distributed-
to the residents present:
Mr. Mako explained that. the road project will be done by the Village to take
care of the drainage problem _in Forest Hills. A ditch will be dug along
Jersey Way. This ditchwill'be tiled and filled with crushed rock.. This will
pick up the seepage and drain into Lots 26 and 27.
1077. Resolution by Friedges seconded by Clay authorizing the clerk to advertise
for a public hearing on the acquisition of the Forest .Hills Water System
on September 7 at,9 P.M. Friedges, Clay, Mako, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion
carried.
The taxi ordinance was passed out and will be considered on the 7th of September.
Mr. Mako .stated that he had received a letter from the Chevrolet Garage .for
water & sewer servicesto ~ new building they will be erecting on Cedar
.and Hlghway 50. A preliminary study will have to be authorized by the council..
1078. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to authorize the .prosecution. of W.W.-Ring for
violation of the .mobile :home .ordinance. Clay, Mako,. ..Sullivan, Taft and
Friedges "aye" motion carried..
Mr. Mako .reported on his .visit to the County Board meeting an Wednesday..
He informed the council 'that it could budget for Valley Park. Also various
roads were discussed.
Mr. Farrell advised the.. council not to execute a quit claim .deed for Arnold
Kruse until a new deed is presented to the council.
A budget meeting was set for August 30 at 8 P.M.
1079. Motion. by, Clay seconded by Taft-authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk to execute the
Austin Keller contract. Mako, `Sullivan,, Taft, Friedges and Clay "aye", motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned.
