Present; Friedges, Clay, Mako and Taft. Absent; Sullivan. Also. present; Pat Farrell, Village attorney. 1127. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to accept the minutes of the Sept. 13, 1971, meeting as read.. Motion carried. 1128.. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the special. Sept. 16, 1971, meeting as read. Friedges, .Clay, Mako and.'~aft "aye", motion carried. .:1129. Motion. by Taft seconded by Clay to pay the liquor bills. Clay, Mako, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 1130. Motion by Taft seconded by Clay to pay the Village bills. Mako., Taft, Friedges and Clay."aye", motion carried. .Richard Brandes was sworn in as a member of the .Planning: Commission. A letter from the Lakeville School Board was read... Copy attached. 1131. Motion by Friedges seconded by Clay to .table the decision on cable T.V. until after having a meeting with the school board. Taft, Friedges,. Clay and Mako."aye",. motion .carried. A meeting was set for the 27th at 8 P.M. with the school. board. A decision regarding a`street light. at 175th and Judicial was postponed until the 4th of October. Mrs. Huddleston, Mrs. Verlie Hardie,. Mrs. Alverta Coram and Mr. Gagnon appeared .before the council to request that something be done about .the motorcycles, snowmobiles and other disturbances at the Orchard Lake Park. Mr. Gagnon felt .that .some guide.. lines are necessary for. the regulation of this park. Mrs. Huddleston did not feelthat it is necessary to stop letting camppes use the park. the Mr. Claq felt that/parking area should be specified and fenced off so than no one .could drive. on the grass .area. This matter will be referred to the Park. and Recreation Committee at its Wed. evening meeting. 1132. Motion b Clay seconded by Friedges to authorise Mr. Farrell to represent Mic.hae~s er statue 471.44. Friedges, Clay, Mako and Taft "aye", motion carried. Mr. Farrell asked if some of the council would like to participate in obtaining easements for the 71-4 project. The hearing for Jesco, Inc. was opened. Tom Keller, Attorney 'for Jesco, stated the situation as theg saw it .and felt .that they had not been violating the ordinance as Jesco had been .using this land for storage before the ordinance was enacted. Jesco would like to have this land rezoned to B-l on a temporary basis until Jan. 1, 1973 to permit them to look further at this problem. The Oak Shores Homeowners, represented by-Fred Seitz, presented a list • • VILLAGE. Among them were, Tony Westbrook, Sharon McCnllogh, Virgil Koentoph, Ralph Searles, Fred Seitz, Robert Johnson and Jim Lappe. Mr. Farrell. explained that he did not, feel that this business had grandfather rights and that the present use. is not lawful. He also felt that denying the request for the rezoning ought not to contain the length of .time that Jesco can stay. in this building. 1133. Motion by Friedges seconded by .Clay to follow the Planning Commission recommendation and deny the rezoning .and special. use permit. Mr. Farrell and Mr. Keller will.. work out the length of time Jesco will use this building.. Clay, Mako,.. Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 1134. Motion. by Taft seconded by Friedges to accept the petition from the Oak Shores Property Owners. Mako, Taft, Friedges and Clay "aye", ...motion carried. 1135.. Motion by Taft seconded by Clay to authorize the Mayor to sign .statement re sewer. .Copy .attached. Taft, Friedges, Clay and Mako "aye", motion carried.. 1136. Motion by Mako. seconded by Clay to allow Richard Nordling to attend the seminar on water towers, etc. Friedges, Clay, Mako and Taft "aye", motion carried.
