VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE=COUGZL MEETING-JANUARY 18, 1971
The meeting .was .called to order by Mayor Mako`at 8 P.M.
Flag pledge was given and invocation by Rev. Blenkush. Present; Clay,
Friedges, Mako, Sullivan and Taft. Also present; Robert Frigaard, Engineer
Pat Farrell, Village attorney and Robert Pulscher, financial advisor.
580. Motion by Sullivan. seconded byMako to accept the minutes of the Jan. 11,
1971, meeting as read. Clay, Mako, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye",
motion carried..
581. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to .accept the minutes of theSpecial
Canvassing Meeting of Jan. 13, 1971, as read.. Mako, Sullivan, Taft,
Friedges and Glay "aye", motion carried.
582. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the Special
Meeting after the Special Ganvassing Meeting of Jan. 18, 1971, as read.
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Clay and Mako "aye", motion carried..
583. Motionby Taft seconded by Friedges to pay -the Village bills with the
exception of .6409. Taft, Friedges, Clay, Mako and Sullivan "aye",
motion carried.
584. .Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to pay the liquor bills but to hold up
checks numbers 3630,35,37, 36, 38, lOb,108, 109 and 116. Friedges, Glay,
Mako, Sullivan and.Taft "aye", motion carried..
The. clerk was instructed to contact Walter King and .have him. appear before the
.council.
The water & Sewer Report was read..
585. Motion by Taft seconded.. by Sullivan to accept the minutes of the Water &
Sewer Commission of Dec. 16, 1970, as read. .Clay, Mako, Sullivan, Taft
and .Friedges "aye", motion carried.
.586. .Motion by .Taft seconded by Sullivan .authorizing the engineer to prepare
a preliminary report for the sewer trunk line extension to Bentson's
Addition, Clay's Addition and the North Shore of Lake Marion with a 3 price
breakdown. Mako, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Clay "aye",-maCion carried.
John Antolik read the minutes of the Jan.. 14, 1971, Planning Commission
meeting.,
587... Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges"to accept the minutes of the Planning
Commission meeting as read. Sullivan, Taft, .Friedges, Clay and Mako "aye",
motion carried.
Robert Pulscher,'from Springsted, Inc, gave a-resuiae for bond .sales on
the Airlake project.
588. Mention by Taft seconded by Friedges to adopt the resolution incorporating
the. details of notice of sale of bonds for thin project after it is filled
out properly by the financial consulCant, village attorney and clerk.
Taft, Friedges, Clay, Mako and Sullivan "aye.", motion ::carried..
Resolution attached.
A meeting was set for Jan. 25, 1971, at $ P.M, for. the council to meet
with... all the, members of the. existing committees. The clerk is to notifg
all the members.`

589. Motion by Clay seconded-by Taft: to establish the council committee
members as presented( copy attached.) Friedges,-Clay, Mako, Sullivan and
Taft "aye", motion carried..
590. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to appoint the lst National Bank
as the legal depository, Grannie & Grannis as legal advisor,. Bonestroo,
Reserve, Anderlik & Assoc. as Village engineer,.. Dr. McDaniels as health
inspector and The Lakeville Times as the +~fficial newspaper. Clay,
Mako, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried.
591. Motion by Friedges seconded by Sullivan to appoint Fred Taft,, Acting Mayor.
Clay, Mako, Sullivan and ,Friedges "aye", Taft "no", motion carried.
A letter from Carl Onischuck re tax settlements for 1971 was. read.
591. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to authorize the mayor and clerk
to sign the contract for municipal services for Valley Park as presented
by the attorney. .Mako., Sullivan,. Taft, Friedges and Clay "aye", motion
carried.
592. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Clay to pay time and one half for overtime
worked by the. part time clerical workers during. the license plate rush.
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Clay and Mako "aye", mention carried.
593. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan accepting the engineer's plans and
specs for Water & Sewer Extensions in Airlake Industrial Park and setting
the bid leCting-date as Feb. 16, 1971./ Taft, Friedges, Clay, Mako and
Sullivan '-'aye",.motion carried. at 2P.M.
Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to adjourn. All in favor, meeting
adjourned.
