. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensem s~ith Mako, Friedges,
Jensen, Sullivan and Taft present.
420. Motion by Friedges seconded by Mako to accept the minutes of the October 13,
1970, meeting as read. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion
carried.
421. Motion by Sullivan €econded by Mako to pay the liquor bills. Mako, Jensen,.
Sullivan and Friedges "aye", motion carried.
422. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to pay the Village bills but to hold
check nr. 5866. Jensen, Sullivan, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried.
The Park and Recreation report was presented by Vinee-Setton.
423. Motion by Mako seconded by .Friedges to allow the expenditure of $100 far
netting and other material for the skating rink in the rear of the council
chambers. Sullivan, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried.
Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Friedges will check into the possibility of
obtaining a warming house. Lights for the skating rink at Valley Park were
discussed. It was decided that the Park and REcreation Committee would
review this matter and return with two bids for the work.
Paul Oxley reported that he had been working on an emergency
operating plan for the civil defense in case of any disaster in the area.
The clerk was instructed to send the bills for work to the
well to Gus Lyden.
424. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges accepting the curb and gutter and.
street surfacing, Valley Park First Addition. .Friedges, Mako, Jensen,
Sullivan and Taft "aye", mcstion carried.
425. Motion by Jensen seconded by Sullivan accepting street construction and
curb and gutter Valley Park Second Additon. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, T~:ft,
and Friedges "aye", motion carried.
by the Metro Sewer Board
The acquisition of the sewer plant/was discussed. Bob Frigaard
was directed to .check into the figures of the agreement.
Mr. Frigaard reported that the letting date for the work in Airlake
is Nov. 9, 1970, at 2 P.M.
426. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to accept the plans and specs for this work
and authorizing the letting of bids '-°~~~~^r~~°d. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft.
Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried.
427. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to reimburse the Chamber of Commerce
for $140.00 for the four signs paid for and maintained by the Chamber.
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen, "aye", motion carried.
Motion by Friedges seconded by Sullivan to adjourn. Motion carried..
