The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensen with
Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft present. Flag pledge was given.
42$. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to accept the minutes. of the Oct. 19,
1970, meeting as read. Friedges, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft ''aye",
motion carried..
Theminutes of the Oct. 29, 1970, Planning Commission
meeting .were read.
429. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to follow the: Planning Commission
recommendation and grant the rezoning of land for L`& 0 inc. Jensen,
Sullivan, Taft and Friedges ':'aye", motion carried..
430. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to grant a special use permit ,
and variance to .sign ordinance to Robert F. Adelman Sullivan, Taft,
Friedges. and Jensen "aye", motion carried.
43 L Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to grant a special use permit
to Valley Park Community. Life Center. for property, farm house. and mobile
unit and to grant a mobile home permit. Taft, Friedges, Jensen and
Sullivan "aye", motion carried.
432. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to grant Hitchcock Inc. and Dixon
Construction Co. a special use. permit. Friedges, Jensen, Sullivan
and Taft "aye'", motion carried..
433. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to follow the Planning Commission

Frederick Willys Co. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye",emotion carried.
434. Motion by Friedges seconded by Sullivan to grant the building permit for
meat processing plant building. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Jensen "aye",
motion. carried.
A.discussion was held on the recommendation of the Planning...
Commission for commercial building plans to be inspected by the Vihage
engineer. It was decided that the ones that gave them any trouble could
be referred to the engineer.
435. Motion by Taft seconded ,by Friedges to allow the abatement for Lamy D.
and Eleanor R. Mousel. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye",
motion carried.
436. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to allow the abatement for
James J. & Nancy C. Blanchard. Friedges, Mako,.. Jensen, Sullivan ane
Taft "aye", motion carried..
437.. Motion by Friedges seconded by Mako to allow the abatement for John G. Stetz

438. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to grant the abatement for Hawthorne
Prop. Inc. .Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako":aye", motion carried..
The franchise requests were extended for a couple of weeks.
Ole Jensen asked that something be done for water draining
onto his yard.. Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Frigaard will check. this out.
The clerk was instructed to write to the two railroad companies
that t~tree/crossings... in the Village should be improved.

439. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to support the resolution re the
airport (copy attached). Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen
"aye", motion carried.
440. Motion by Mako seconded by`Taft to establish a $5 fee for a dynamite permit
.which would be valid for 30 days. Taft,- Friedges, Mako, Jensen and
Sullivan "aye",.motion carried.
The clerk was instructed to send the insurance bids to four
different insurance companies.
441. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to accept the plans and specs for
the Trunk Storm Sewer, Valley Park 3rd and 4th Additions. and authorizing
letting. of bids. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye" motion
carried..
The letting of bids is set for the 16th of Nov. at 2 P.M.
Clint Cross' Justice of the Peace report was reviewed by
the council.
Motion by Friedges .seconded by Sullivan to adjourn was unanimously approved.
