HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-09-70 ..q?' VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL MEETING--NOVEMBER 9, 1970 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensen with Friedges, Mako, Sul"lean and Taft present. Also present; Robert Pulscher, financial consultant and Robert Frigaard, Village engineer. 443. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the Nov.2, 1970, meeting as read. .Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan; and Taft "aye", motion carried...: 444. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges, to accept the minutes of the. canvassing meeting of Nov. 4, 1970, meeting as read. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and.Friedges. "aye", motion carried. The building inspector presented his report for the month. Robert'Frigaard reported that bids had been taken for the Airlake project at 2 P.ri. in the afternoon and he recommended the council accept the low bid of `Erickson & Erickson with the base bid to read $55,011.2.5 as corrected. 445. .Motion. by Sullivan seconded by Mako to accept the bids for the Airlake project. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. It was decided to table these bids until transcripts. of proceedings om this project could be presented to the bonding agent. Mr. Pulscher of Springsted Inc. reported that he would. sell bonds as soon as all the necessary transcrip s were sent to his office. He will also try to find out from the Minnesota Municipal Commission as to the legality of selling bonds for the storm sewer project in Valley Park. 446. .Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to authorize the clerk to sign the reimbursement applications from the Minn. Peace Officer Training .Board. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and 3ensen "aye", motion carried. 447. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to accept the petition from Airlake Industrial Park fos water and sewer extensions to the Fredrick Willya building. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 448. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to authorize the Village engineer to prepare a preliminary report for the extension. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye'', motion carried. Harry Clarkson requested that the Village furnish some dead end signs, stop signs and yield signs for the Valley Park area. The council asked him to prepare a map showing where these should be placed. Walter King, Jr. J. P. report was. reviewed by .the council. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to adjourn.
