HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-23-70 SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF-LAKEVILLE COUNCIL --NOVEMBER 23, 1970 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensen with Mako, Friedges, Sullivan and Taft,gresent. 466. Motion by Mako seconded by, Taft that whereas we have been advised by the Village attorney,due to conflict of interest, he cannot proceed with the appeals of the orders of the Municipah Commission therefor be it resolved the law firm of Thuet, Todd, Anderson & Collins of So. St. Paul be retained as counsel for the Village of Lakeville. and to represent the Village in the appeals from the order of the Municipal Commission and matters supplement there o on a per diem. basis. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye'", motion carried. 467. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges resolved that the attorney for the. Village be authorized and directed to'commence legal action against.Carl.Unischuck, County Auditor, to prevent the alteration or reallocation of the 1970 real estate taxes due in 1971 as spread on the. books of the county auditor as of Nov.. 16, 1970. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 468. Motion by Taft seconded by Mako resolved that if those residents of the Village of Lakeville involved the annexation election, reject said. proposal, we the council of the Village of Lakeville wish to state their remaining in Lakeville will be welcome. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to adjourn. Meeting adjourned.. Respectfully submitted, Village Clerk ayor
