HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-09-70 • • ~ VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 9, 1970 The meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Ed Mako. This was followed by the flag pledge. Roll call was taken with Mako, Taft, Sullivan and Friedges present. 6.Q. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to accept the minutes of the Feb. 2, 1970 meeting as read. Friedges, Mako, Sullivan and Taft "I", motion carried. The building inspector was instructed to investigate the source of some smoke in the vicinity of Geo. Marek~'~s garage. The clerk was instructed to write to Felix Tillges to see when sidewalk would be installed into the park property in Park Terrace Addition. The Sewer and Water minutes of Feb. S, 1970 special meeting were read. 61. Friedges made a motion seconded by Sullivan.. to have notices sent to all Village homeowners who don't have water meter read outs that these may be purchased for $25. Mako, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "I", motion carried. 62. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to follow rec. nr. 5 and have the clerk write to the Metro Sewer-Board that it pay for a study of the sewage treatment .plant. Taft, Friedges, Mako and Sullivan "I", motion carried.. - 63. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to table remainder until Feb. 16, Taft, Friedges, Mako, and Sullivan "I", motion carried. The Planning Commission minutes of Jan. 29,:.1970,-were reviewed by Mr. Clay. 64. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to rezone to commercial-industrial the following described property (see attached Legal). NSP. Friedges, Mako, Sullivan and Taft "I", motion carried. 65. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to follow the Planning Commission recommendation and reappoint Simones and VanBellinger to the Planning Commission until July 1, 1972. Mako, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "I", motion carried. 66. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to empower the Planning Commission to order another proposed zoning map from Dahlgrem,.Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "I", motion carried. The building inspector presented his report. Pat Farrell presented a list of conditions to be included in the rezoning of the Stuart property. Mr. Kalina felt:. that his client would be hindered in borrowing money with the date of review being set for 1975. He said it would take that long to get this business going. ~G~u1 Mr. Hall felt: that this list~had problems :too complex and too skimpy. He felt that there should be a citizens committee to review this. matter. Mr. Farrell mentioned that a licensing ordinance cod be adopted and this would cover this rezoning with all provisions the ordinance if Mr. Stuart failed to co~aply~even with proper zoning and he would lose his license. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to adopt this amendment to Ord. No. 16. Friedges, Mako, Sullivan and Taft "I", motion carried. Mr. Kalina appeared for Mr. Tillges and requested that the Village advise the Railroad Co, that the Village requests a crossing of .the Chicago, Milwaukee and Pacific R. R, into Park Terrace Addition. 69. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges that the clerk be empowered to write to the railroad informing them of this matter. Mako, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "I", motion carried. 70. Motion. by Taft seconded by Friedges to have the Planning Commission submit the final draft of the. zoning ordinance to the Village Council by the 16th. of March.
