HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-17-70 r • • SPECIAL MEETING--VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL--FEBRUARY 17, 1970 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensen with Taft,. Sullivan, Friedges and Mako present. The flag pledge was given. This meeting was called for the purpose of going over wage settlements with the various Village departments. The maintenance department requested an extra 1 ~/2 days of paid holidays--Washington's birthday and 1/2 day on Good Friday. They also requested a work incentive of 1~ per hour per year. for every year worked for the Village plus an 8a increase in wages, plus the $10 increment which has already been given. The police presented their request in writing which is a part of this record. The council would ok Washington's birthday as another paid holiday, plus increasing the sick leave to 120 days, plus. giving of special leave for immediate family deaths and other ~dmergences. They did not think it would be necessary to increase the vacation time from that which is already in effect. They would ok a 7o cost of living increase on the base pay salary and increase the steps from $10 to $15 per .month. The council proposed a salary of $900 plus benefits for the building inspector. He will drive his own car for another six months after which this matter will be reviewed. The council proposed a salary of $650 for the clerk plus benefits. The proposed salaries for the liquor store employees were reviewed with a copy attached to these minutes. The salary of the manager was tentatively set at $1,100 per month. 84.
