Present: Sullivan, Mako, Jensen, Taft and Friedges. 84. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to accept the minutes of the Feb. 16, 1970 meeting as read, Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion carried. 85. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to pay Fredrickson Excavating for removing snow at the liquor store. Mako, Jensen,'Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye'.'., motion carried. Pat Farrell reported that McLagen will do the survey of the two acres of land given to the Village by Mr. Ramberg. The clerk was instructed. to write to Instant Homes and ask them .for their letter stating that they would pay fox the work done by Midwest Planners for their trailer court. Robert Jensen reported that Mr. Astleford is going to submit an itemized bill for the work-done in moving the culvert and he felt this should be paid. 86. Motion by TAft seconded by Friedges to accept the minutes of the Feb. 17, 1970, meeting as read. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. The minutes of the Feb. 18, 1970, Water ~ sewer. Commission meeting were read by Harry Clarkson. Robert Frigaard explained that the Utility Dept would like to have the use of Sodium Fluoride Crystals rather than Fluoric Acid for both water systems. He said that the cost would be approximately $574 for 2 with $104 credit for the existing equipment. There would have to be a water meter installed and also soft water. 87. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to accept this new system. of floridation. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion .carried. 88. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to pay Mrs. Don FAnum $5 for her work on the letters sent. out to homeowners in Forest Hills. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen, and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 89. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges that the Water Sewer Commission purchase letterhead stationery. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion carried. 90. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedgesto authorize the attorney and engineer to assist the Water ~ Sewer Commission witht;the work involved in Forest Hills addition. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 91 Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to authorize the clerk to write to Midwest Planners that the Vi11a~e;Gouncil would like them to do a study of the park and}-0pe~} ~~Ra~~c~~tudy t~h the cost not to exceed $3,000 subject. toq contra'~t ensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. The Park and Recreation Committee will have a proposal to make to the council in .regards to the park in Valley paxk. Mr. Frigaard explained what the water systems survey would cover. tl) 5 ~ • e • 92. .Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to accept recommendation Nr. 4 of the Water and Sewer commission minutes of Feb. 5 to have a water study for the entire Village of Lakeville at a cost not to exceed $4,500 plus computer cost.made by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik ~ Assoc. Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", Sullivan opposed, motion carried. 93. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to accept recommendation nr. 1 of the Water ~ Sewer Commission minutes of Feb. 5 to accept Case #2 for. the Orchard Lake-Lake Marion Sewer Study as the Master Plan for sewer in these areas. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen, and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 94. Motion. by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to appoint Springstead, Inc. as financial consultant. Friedges, Mako, Sullivan and Taft "aye", Jensen opposed, motion carried. The clerk was instructed to inform Springsted of this decision. 95. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to authorize the clerk to write .letters to parents of cheldren who have been misbehaving on the hockey rink. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried. clerical 96. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to correct/error in Ttem Z1 of the July 14, 1969 meeting to read as follows: OLD .MOTION WITH CORRECTION UNDERLINED: Jensen made a motion seconded by Mako that the North 620 feet and the South 140 feet of the East 375 feet of the North 760 feet of the SW quarter of the NE quarter (SW 1/4 of NE 1/4) of Sec. 29, T. 11~, R. 20, excepting therefrom the North 352 feet of the East 248.5 feet thereof., and further excepting therefrom the"South 125 feet of the East 150 feet of the North 477 £eet thereof,F.:~~°azoned commercial-industrial with the following conditions of the Planni 'on: a. Iberia Ave. being brought to standard. b. Land donation for cul du sac on old Ruby St. or what is now Howland Ave. c. Dedication of park land with the following description and approximately 3 acres in size; commencing at a point same as'the center line of Ruby-Ave. north end of cul du sac, north to a point which is 30 ft south of the waterway following that line to .Highway SO (60 foot waterway) and everything east of that line with the exception of that which. is being bought. by Mrs. Kraft. Legal descrigtion wilt be provided by the builder. Also 30 ft of Iberia will be dedicated to the Village. d. A,hard shell plat of residential lots on old Fairfield or what is now Hughes Ave.. to be submitted 90 days .after being informed of where the sewer lines will be. e. Screening fence to be put up between apartment building and all adjoining residential .areas. f. All land conditions are to be met in-60 days and all must have approval of Village Engineer. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to return the checks of Ziegler, Inc. in the amount of $1, 2S0, and to Glen Chevrolet in the amount of $~50. 'These were checks received and held until the equipment had been delivered,.... Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried. (2) • • 98. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to authorize the clerk to attend the Conference far Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers and that the Village pay the fee. Friedges, Taft, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 99. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to adjourn. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion carried.
