VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE-COUNCIL MEETING-MARCH 1~6, 1970
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jensen with Taft, Sullivan
Mako and Friedges present.. The flag pledge was given..
106. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to accept the minutes of the
March 9 , 1970, meeting with the word "tentatively" inserted in the
article re Park Terrace Addn. plat. See minutes of March 9.

107. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to pay the Village bills but to hold
Nx. 4891 until this can be checked out. The bill for Grannis €r Grannie for
$245.00 was included. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges. "aye,
motion carried.
.108. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to pay the liquor bills. Jensen,
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried.
1D9. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to instruct the. clerk to inform the
Mr. Wick that the dump would be open weekly from April through Oct.
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako, and Jensen "aye," Motion carried.
11.0 Motion by Sullivan seconded be Friedges to buy a check protector. Taft
Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried.
111. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to approve the list of election
judges which is attached. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft
"aye", motion carried.
Two letters regarding the proposed mobile home park by
Instant Homes were read to the council. One from Bonestroo, Rosene,
Anderlik and Assoc. and one form Midwest Plannexs.
Mr. Douglas requested this land be rezoned to commercial-
industrial for thepark.
112. Motion by Mako seconded by Sullivan as follows:
Be it resolved that the application of Ralph Henriksen, Stefan
Helgesen and Adolfson and Peterson, Inc. to rezone the property described
in"the application to commercial-industrial be granted and that
Ordinance No. 1, as amended, be further amended by the addition of this
property under Section II, Paragraph B.
Be it further resolved this rezoning is granted for the exclusive
use of operating a mobile home park and that the. applicants consent to said
restrictions in writing and that a certified copy. of said resolution
be filed in the office of register of deeds., Dakota County, Minn.
.Mako,. Jensen, Sullivan and Taft 'Faye, Friedges opposed, motion carried.
The Planning Commission minutes of their meeting of Feb. 26, 1970
were read.
The All Saints Church Addition plans were presented to the council.
113. Motion by Friedges seconded by Sullivan to accept the plans and the
permit be granted.: upon the building inspector's approval. Jensen,
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and. Mako."aye", motion carried..
Dr. Long presented his plans for a small animal clinic.
114. Motion by Sullivan seconded. by-Taft to grant the rezoning/w~t~iot~ie-Ind.
.variance on sub-.division ordinance and. the building permit be grantedGDr. Long.
Sullivan, Taft, Mako-and Jensen "'aye," Friedges abstained., motion carried.

LAKEVILLE COUNCIL MEETING -MARCH 16, 1970
Mr. Miller, representing Centennial Mobile Home Park, requested
that a rezoning be granted for the park on Dodd Road and Highway 50.
He felt that water and sewer could be extended to this area without too
much difficulty. Plans were not presented at this time.
115. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to refuse the request of Centennial
Homes for the rezoning for a mobile home park. Taft, Friedges, Mako,
Jensen .and Sullivan "aye", motion carried.
Mx, Ford, representing the City of Farmington, explained the
new fire contract that .they would like to put in effect.. The actual
billing for 1968 is shown at the end of the proposed contract.
The Planning Commission presented its report re: Capitol
Impxovem+ents Study. They also repaxted that the Midwest Planners
had found the maps that were last and would retuxn the same.
116. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to grant the :rezoning as follows to
Valley Green Mobile Home park:
Be it resolved that the application of Eagan Development Co.
to rezone the property described in the application to commercial-
industrial be granted and that Ordinance No. 1, as amended be further amended
by the addition of this property under Section II, Paragraph B.
Be it further resolved this rezoning. is granted for the exclusive
use of operating a mobile home park and that the applicants consent
to said restrictions in writing and that a certified copy of said
resolution be filed in the office of register of deeds Dakota County,
Minn.
Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried.
I17. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to accept the low bid of Rosemount
Dodge for the new utility truck with the reading body, the price
shown is $3,047.97. Taft, Fcaredges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye",
matian carried.
118. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to return the other two checks of
the unsuccessful bidders... Friedges., Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye",
motion carried.
119. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to approve gas permit Job 5-25, 1970.
Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges."aye", motion carried.
120. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to approve the permit for the
Central Telephone Co.`for duct system west to Dodd Road.. Jensen, Sullivan,
Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried.
The contract with ridwest Planners was signed by the Mayor.
Pat Farxell, Village attorney, suggested that the process of
the acceptance of claims against the Village be as follows:
The clerk will bring each claim to .the attention of the council.
A resolution would then be passed accepting the notice of claim on
i whatever date it is serv+~d. The minutes would then reflect the same.
Motion by Sullivan seconded by Maka to adjourn. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges,
Mako and Jensen "aye" , motion carried.
