VILLAGE OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL MEETING -APRIL 2Q 1970'
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. with Friedges, Mako,
Jensen, Sullivan and Taft present. Flag pledge was given.
153. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to accept the recommendation of the
Planning Commission as pertaining to house size in the new zoning
ordinance but to delete garage.
Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", Sullivan and Taft opppsed, motion carried.
154. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to change the efficiency
apartment units to 2000 sq. ft and two or more bedroom unity to
2,800 sq. ft and give credit for underground parking. Mako, Jensen,
Sullivan, Taft and. Friedges "aye", motion carried.
Vince Setton and 0. T. Nordseth were sworn in as members of the
Park. and Recreation Committee.
155. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges. to strike paragraph 6 on page
101 of the zoning ordinance. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and
Mako "aye", motion carried.
156. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to approve paying the Liquor
Store bills and buy the cash register. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges,
Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried.
157. Motion by .Sullivan seconded by Taft to pay the Village bills.
Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried.
Albert Feltman and Miles Marsh appeared in regards to 2 miles
of road (Judicial Road) which needs improving. It was suggested the
Village of Lakeville furnish the trucks and men and do the work of
spreading gravel and Burma on this portion of road and have. the costs
split 50-50 between Lakeville and Credit River.
158. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft that the Village of Lakeville
enter into an agreement with Credit River to go 50-50 for improving
2 miles of Judicial Road on the Scott County line. Friedges, Mho,
Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion carried.
Kon Langness of Springsted, Inc. reported that he had surveyed
the area of the proposed sewer and water improvements. He said that
the total plan cannot be financed as there is too much open land. He
wanted to know which parts would be given priority and what the connection
charges would be. After some discussion, it was decided that Mr. Langness
would get a rough estimate and report to the Water Sewer Committee
on the 29th of April.
159. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft. to adopt the proposed zoning map as
presented by the P1~r?ning Commission and as changed from the original
and to include the two new trailor parks and also adopt the. zoning
ordinance as corrected. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye",
motion carried.
A resolution adopted by Apple Valley re: location of court house
if moved, was read.
It was suggested that the clerk keep a file for zoning changes.
160. Motion by Taft that the map be turned over to the Village engineer
and that the map be upgraded by Feb. 1 of every year. Seconded by .Friedges.
Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried.

161. Motion by Friedges seconded by Sullivan to adopt the Apple Valley
resolution re: court house. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and
Jensen "aye", motion carried.
It was decided. to appoint 2 civil defence directors at the
meeting of May 4,..1970.
162. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to table the Fire Service
Agreement and Mutual Aid fire agreement between Farmington and Lakeville
untfl the next meeting. Taft, .Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan
"aye", motion carried.
A meeting was set for Thurs the 23rd at 8 P.M. to go over
the Mobile Home Ordinance. The clerk was instructed to call
Dan Gustafson and Mr. Henrikson.
A letter re: speed limit on Cty Rd 70 W of Dodd Road was
read.
163. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft ghat the clerk make application to
operate the dump from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye" ,motion carried.
Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to adjourn carried unanimously.
