Flag pledge was given. The J C's presented Mayor Jensen with a gavel.. 194. Motion by .Mako seconded by Taft to approve the minutes of the May 11, 1970 meeting as read. Friedges, btako, Jensen, Sullivan,. and Taft "aye'.', motion carried. 195. Motion by Sullivan.'seconded by Taft to pay the Village bills but hold 5223 .for further checking. 6Rako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried.. 196. Motion by Taft seconded by Friedges to pay the Liquor bills. .Jensen, Sullivan, Taft., Friedges and Mako`"aye.", motion carried. 197. Motion by Mako seconded by Taft to empower the police dept. to order the oxygen and resuscitator units for the two police cars at .approximately $200 to $250 and also to order a set of law books. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye" ,motion carried. The police committee reported that the police dept. is going. to borrow'a walkie talkie to try out and that they would also check on auto prices and get quotations. Three bids were received. for the tractor whic h are as follows: Aronson. Implement 1 used Oliver $1,695.00 Neibxar Implement 1 new tractor 3,583.53 Carlson :Tractor 1 new Ford .model 2,.990.00 198. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to buy the tractor from Aronson Implement Co. as per quote of $1,695 with new tires-. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 199. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to follow the Planning Commission recommendation and grant Alfred Sletten a vaxiance of the ordinance to build a garage three feet from lot line. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion carried. Overland First Addition plat was reviewed by the council. 200. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to approve the Overland First Addition final plat with the. changes showing drainage .easement .and lots 10, 11, and 12 described with legal descriptions. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye motion carried. Bond amounts for Overland First Addition will be worked out by Mr. Frigaard, Village engineer. Felix Tillgessd~scussed the low cost home. with the building inspector and the council. 201. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to send Mr. Ackerman to the factory in Rothschild, Wis. at Village expense to see how the factory builds .the homes. Jensen, Sullivan, Taft, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion ...carried.. . • • r: ' b1AY 18, 1970 Al Patena~de appeared to request the status of his land which at one time had been rezoned commercial-industrial. This land had never been used for that purpose. After some discussion the council .informed him that this land is considered R-1C on the new zoning map.. Mr. Frigaard presented the plans for the water and sewer extension in Valley Park 4th Addition but no action was taken due to the. fact that none of the provisions for signing the final plat had been fulfilled. 202. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to have the Village attorney evict Riley Lewis and sue. for .the back rent.. Sullivan, Taft, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried. A report was given on what the county is going to do on Cedar Ave. adjacent to Valley Park Addition.~° This is regarding the speed limit. 203. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to enter into the agreement with Credit River relative to improving apart of Judicial Road and to authorize signing of the agreement. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 204. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to sign the fire fighting service agreement and mutual aid agreement. Friedges ,-Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft .'.'aye", motion carried. Mr. Kalina appeared for Lakeville Parking, Inc. It was reported that no barricade had been installed in their east lot. 205. Motion by Mako seconded by Jensen rescinding resolution No 186 and further moving to instruct Lakeville Parking, Inc, to place. a temporary no parking barrier to close off the unzoned portion of the East parking lot which will. remain until new zoning ordinance is in effect. Mako "aye", Jensen, Sullivan and Taft opposed, Friedges abstained. Motion failed. 206. Motion by Mako seconded by Sullivan to follow the previous. recommendation to install a barricade on this lot. Sullivan, Taft and Mako "aye" Friedges abstained and Jensen opposed. Motion carried. 207. Motion by Taft seconded by Sullivan to have the Village attorney issue a court order to keep Lakeville Parking, Inc. from using their east lot. Sullivan, Taft and Mako "aye", Friedges abstained and Jensen opposed. Motion carried. 208. Motion by Friedges seconded by Taft to appoint the clerk a deputy registrar of vehicle .licenses and to have the clerk write a letter signed by the Mayor to Wallace Hoagland saying that the-council took this action. Taft, Friedges, Mako, Jensen, and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. An affidavit of loss of"check Nr. 4506 by Mrs. Huddleston was presented to the council. 209. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Taft to issue a duplicate check to Mrs. iiuddleston and to waive the bond. Friedges, Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Taft "aye", motion carried. C2) , `MAY 18, 1970 .210. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to instruct the building inspector .not to issue permits for manufactured homes. All permits for manufactured homes shall be issued by the council. Mako, Jensen., Sullivan, Taft and Friedges "aye", motion carried. Motion by Sullivan econded by Taft to adjourn was carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned..
