Present; Friedges, Mako, Jensew'and Sullivan. Absent; Taft. 241. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to accept the minutes of the June 8, 1970, meeting as read. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 242. Motion by Friedges seconded by Mako to pay the Village bills. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 243. Mbtaion by Mako seconded by Friedges to pay the liquor bills. Jensen, Sullivan, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. The Planning Commission minutes for June 11, 1970, were read. 244. Motion by Friedges seconded by Sullivan to grant the variance to build a garage to Gordon Ret~uff. Sullivan, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motioa carried. 2.45.. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to grant a special use permit as recommended by the Planning Commission to Leroy Martinson. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. Vern Krejce appeared with a complaint that the Viking Engineering Co. was creating a nuisance with a bad odor and with fiber glass being blown around the neighborhood. The Park and Recreation Committee report was riad. 246. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to purchase the fencing material requested for the Buffer Park.. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Friedges "aye", motion carried. Mr. Dunbar of Midwest Planning explained the Park and Open- Space. Study. 247. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges to adopt the proposed plan as the official long range guide line development for parks as presented. Jensen, Sullivan, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion .carried. Denny Dunham informed the council he would serve on the Planning Commission if elected. It was .decided to ..inform the Planning Commission to .come up with. some recommendations by July 6, 1970. 248. Motion by b4ako seconded by Friedges to authorize a preliminary report for a new sidewalk `on the west side of Holyoke from Erickson Dxug to 20'~th St. W. and 207th St. W. to Hughes. Sullivan, Friedges, Mako, and Jensen "aye", motion carried. 249. Motion by Friedges. seconded by Mako to purchase the copy machine at the prices quoted in letter from John Sullivan (letter attached). Friedges, Mako, Jensen "aye", Sullivan abstained, motion carried.. signing 250. Motion by-Sullivan seconded by Mako to authorize/the permit for Dakota Electric to install underground lighting in a certain portion of Oak Shores Addition. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and .Friedges "aye", emotion carried. 251. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Mako to grant the request of ;James L. Tyburski for the Lakeshore improvement at Oak Shores Addition. Jensen, Sullivan, Friedges and Mako "aye",.motion carried. Motion by Mako seconded by Sullivan to renew the contract with the engineer. Su11iJ~i, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried.. 253. Motion by Sullivan-seconded by Friedges to grant a set-up license to the Chart House. Friedges, Mako, Jensen and Sullivan "aye", motion carried. 254. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to instruct the attorney to notify Rosemount Sanitation and D $ M. Hauling that they comply with the Village ordinance to post bond and insurance certificates or cease operating in the Village. Mako, Jensen, Sullivan and Friedges "aye", motion carried. 255. Motion by Sullivan seconded by Friedges to authorize the clerk to become a notary public. Jensen, Sullivan, Friedges and Mako "aye", motion carried. The J, P. report and bad check. collection list of Walter King, Jr. were reviewed by the council. 256. Motion by Mako seconded by Friedges that the Village stand the cost of the c~loxide application to Minnreg Road this time. Sullivan opposed, Friedges, Mako and Jensen "aye", motion carried. Pat Farrell reported that Riley Lewis would be out of the Village building by the 1st of Aug. He has turned .over a copy of a Mobile Home Ordinance to Midwest Planners for them to review.
