The committee was informed that an easement along the ditch recently completed to lower Lake Marian has been secured for use as a bike trail. Property owners are also considering an easement from the trail directly into the Antlers Park area next to the picnic pavilion. This would complete a vital link from downtown Lakeville to Antlers Park and on to the High School. At present we are considering going through Antlers Park along Italy Avenue to 199th Street to Jaguar Avenue then into the property south of Lakeville High School and on to the High School property. Amore detailed progress report will be given at the October meeting. Staff reported to the committee that plans for redoing the Senior Center three season porch into a pool room have been completed by Tillges Construction. Committee member Grenz suggested that Highview from Dodd Blvd. south to 202nd St. be designated as a county bikeway. This will allow for more direct access to downtown Lakeville, as opposed to continuing on Dodd south to Co. Rd. 64. Staff will include this as part of the review and recommendation.
